[18+] Nie no Machi | Review + Summary

I played this game in 2018 and only posting the review now... Anyways here.

I can't find a nice pic of the cover art they like to use so just take their OP vid.

Nie no Machi
[Village of Offerings]
creator: √ZOMBILiCA
released in 2018

Hisora is a young man who was doing the opposite of minding his business when he accidentally ends up chasing a boy who lures him into what turns out to be the land of the dead!? Finding himself in a rustic lodge in fuck-all limbo-nowhere full of the spirits of those stuck between life and death, can he find a way back to reality? Or better yet––can he snag himself a ghost man?

General Introduction

Hisora lives a bland basically life before one day finding himself having somehow accidentally entered a mysterious village that's home to spirits of the dead. Hounded by creepy monsters, Hisora's only safe place in this creepy hick town is an old lodge run by a mysterious white haired boy, housing the souls of those who are still alive, but don't want to go back to living in the real world. AKA comatose people. Being the only flesh human in town, Hisora gives off a sickly sweet delicious scent which attracts both friend and foe... Will he find the key to returning back to the real world, or will he get himself eaten first (figuratively and/or literally)?

Characters

Hisora
he had to do it to em          lol jk
Our lovely protagonist. 20 years old, a natural airhead, and a pure lad incapable of evil thoughts or deeds. He's very stupid, dense, kind, and lacking in any self-preservation skills whatsoever.

Eligible Ghost Bachelors

Mio
He like to be a general nuisance

A very sleepy, lazy, and annoying individual. His pastime is bothering people and sleeping on the floor. Generally the sort who attempts to be as insufferable as possible at any given moment.

Asuku
He like to threaten people with violence
A cold and tsun tsun kid who expresses violent hostility towards Hisora. He enjoys swinging his metal bat at Mio and eating sweets. Quiet. volatile, and generally to be avoided.

Naruomi
He like to ignore personal boundaries
A newcomer at the lodge who joined shortly before Hisora did. He immediately becomes super attached and protective of Hisora for some reason... Speaks only in keigo (formal Japanese), has a pretty face, and is generally polite to everyone.

Koko
He like to seduce dumbasses like Hisora
The seductive older man who also is the team mom. He lives to do chores and loves to do all the cooking for everyone. Koko is a master of winking and soliciting.

This might be important to note, but almost everyone in this game is traumatized. It's probably the theme of the story.

General Review

Story: C | It's okay. It's a fun read, but the plot outside of the romance routes is essentially the same so seeing the same content (just with a different bae) can get a little repetitive. It's nothing to write home about, but it's interesting enough that I actually finished every route, so that's something.

Characters: B | Most of the cast is pretty cute. I found myself really fond of particular characters, but was left wishing for more information. Each route isn't particularly long, so yeah... just gotta wait for the fandisc.

Art: A | The art is sharp clean and cute! Don't expect too much guro though because there's not much. What does exists though is cute and good! The background art looks 3D but it really blends in well. Overall the whole game gives a very clean impression.

Overall satisfaction: B-- | I'm probably just being mean, but yeah I feel it was just an okay game.

It's a cute game, but that's what it is... cute. If you expected something more intense, just know the more extreme content is just randomly sprinkled across a generally soft game. While the game does wrap up most questions, it's just not that... interesting or satisfying? The game feels like it's missing something. I doubt I'm gonna be thinking about this game in a couple months.

[Note from future me: I indeed completely forgot about this game for a year... oops]

I'd still rec giving the game a try if it looks appealing to you though. With all it's flaws, it's still a solid and cute game albeit somewhat forgettable.

One note though is the UI is VERY nice. I really liked the overall technical feel of the game a lot! The whole thing runs very smoothly, and just... everything's nice. I only wish there was a cuter title screen, and it would have been nice to have credit rolls or credit movies.

[Edit: The 2.0 patch has added credit rolls]

Unlike most BL games, this one is available for purchase digitally! Which means anyone can get it! Yes, that means You, reader of this blog post. There's various places to get it, but I personally purchased it at DLsite ! !! !

Random note, but as of this year I've noticed more older BL games being added to the digital market. This is great news since import fees are never fun. And also international shipping in America is currently broken so?? Lol..  [as of 9/20/20]

CONTENT WARNINGS
Rape, mentions of child abuse pedophilia and incest, murder of children, tentacle raped to death, mentions of suicide and self harm.

[Guro specifics] Losing an eye, getting eaten alive, intestines spilling out of wound, mild amputation, mild descriptions of people getting beaten into minched meat, etc.

(okay spoilers past this point)

[Note 2: As I mentioned before, I started writing this review in 2018. I wrote Koko's review then, Mio's route sometime in 2019, and went back to skim through the game for the rest to refresh my memory in 2020 haha. there was apparently a patch released in 2019 which added new CGs and fixed some content in game, so I will point out what differences I noticed when going through the game again.

Note 2.5: I barely noticed any differences really and I got really bored again skimming thru the game again oops. Maybe someone more attentive could figure out if there were any big changes]

[Note3: I use the word inn instead of lodge when I first started writing, but on further research it really is more of a lodge...? Kind of same thing though. Anyways I used the words interchangeably so just know when I say inn or lodge I'm talking about the same thing...]

FULL SUMMARY

Hisora is a young fresh 20 year old who lives a dreary life of juggling 3 part time jobs, since he lost his parents at a young age and is essentially on his own in this busy world. Rushing from job A to job B, a young high school boy in mourning clothes catches his eye at the street crossing. The boy has shockingly beautiful looks and is carrying a bouquet, and Hisora finds his eyes completely drawn to the him immediately... When the boy suddenly drops the bouquet and heads down into an alleyway, Hisora picks up the bouquet and chases after him in order to return it. Alas, the further down the alley he runs, the longer it starts to feel... and even though the boy isn't running, Hisora doesn't catch up at all...

PREMATURE END 1
Hisora gives up chasing him, since this clearly isn't going anywhere, and heads back to the street. He's then immediately hit by a car, since he walked right into oncoming traffic, apparently. While he's dying, he sees that mourning clothes boy staring back at him... and for some reason... Hisora gets a strange feeling when looking at him...

YOU ARE DEAD
★★★★★★★★★

Hisora's not aboutta give up, so he keeps on running and running and running and running... There's a bright light that overtakes him, and he then finds himself in the middle of a hick country town road. In front of him stands some kind of lodge inn building.
welcome to countryside hell
Inside, he meets the owner of this place, a young white haired 10 yo looking boy who completely REEKS of demonic energy but ofc no one in universe can make that connection. He cosplays like some kinda funky youkai, and Hisora's just like okay sure. Hisora insists he's not here to stay and that he's just looking for the mourning clothes boy, but the kid insists they got room for him.

The Mysterious Child

Hisora's like naw... I have to get back to work... he turns and tries to leave, but yeah he's in some kinda hick country town? Where's the way home? He then finds a weird demonic little girl in the street who attempts to eat him, and he blacks out.

Waking up in a room inside the inn, Hisora has a lot of questions. He goes downstairs, and the first person he finds is the mysterious Mio, who's sleeping on the ground. Trying to wake him up to ask him a question, Mio immediately tries to climb onto Hisora, drawn by his delicious scent. Another guy appears (Asuku) who then smacks Mio with a bat, blood splattering across the tatami. Hisora is SHOOK... he just witnessed a MURDER... Appalled, he runs away from the inn... where he is once again set upon by locals (not demonic creatures this time) who can't resist his delectable scent. Thankfully, he is saved by two kind men (Koko and Naruomi) who happened to be nearby.

Long story short, Hisora is brought back to the inn where everyone dumps the setting on him. He finds that Mio is still perfectly alive, and quickly learns that nobody in this world can die. Because they're all just spirits! Ghosts! Nobody is a real flesh human except for Hisora! The people living in the town are all spirits of the dead, and those living inside the inn are spirits of living comatose people who refuse to wake up. Apparently they can leave at any time if they want to, but alas... they don't! Newcomers will randomly show up at the inn some days, and residents will disappear randomly as well... It's a simple life here in hell. And of course, our mysterious white haired boy is the landlord who runs the place and watches over these silly comatose individuals!

Asuku beats Mio to a pulp again as an example of how they can't die
The landlord clarifies that while Hisora doesn't really belong here, he can go back home whenever he wants! Since those who come here are all people who wanted to come here... people who have a reason to run from the world of the living. If that's the case, why is Hisora still stuck here? He doesn't really get what the landlord is talking about... Anyways, apparently the payment for staying here in the meantime is his soul. Hisora gets a pouch with coins that are apparently... his soul... and so he should apparently be careful with that. Great. However, apparently the inn fee of soul isn't enough to ever kill him, so he should have nothing to worry about and should spend as much time here relaxing as he likes!

One important note is that monsters will appear sometimes... especially after dark. They're like made of malevolent energy or something and they like to eat SOULS. It's dangerous even for a ghost to get eaten by one, and it's ESPECIALLY dangerous for Hisora since he's a flesh human.

The vibe at the inn is fun and friendly, and Hisora soon finds himself in the care of the child landlord, the lazy annoying Mio, the recklessly violent Asuku, the kind older Koko, and the polite young Naruomi. Another denizen of note is the middle-aged Komachi-san, who is friendly and kind and tends to participate in the main group's merry ways.

Friendly Komachi-san
Hang out with whoever tf you want you got time!
Creepy Akari, not to be associated with under any circumstances

Hisora has like nothing to do so he just chills and gets to know everyone for about a week. During this time he also meets the elusive Akari, a suspicious blonde who is best off not being approached. Hisora also discovers how the inn is self-cleaning. Clothes just get cleaned on their own, and if you really want something you can just ask the landlord and he'll make it exist for you. Even so, Koko does all the chores around the inn since that's his hobby.

Being the busybody he is, Hisora is happy to butt in and try to help! He even gets a chance to go down to the dead people town along with [dude of your choice] to run some errands. On the way home from errand running, Hisora once again spots that mourning clothes boy entering a local shrine... If Hisora chases after him up the stairs to the shrine, he finds no one up there except... the land lord!? For some reason, the landlord is much less talkative than usual, and for the most part just stares at Hisora. Odd. With nothing else left for him to do here, he returns to [boy of your choice] to continue the trek home.

The landlord(?)

As the days pass, everyone is super happy and having fun, and Hisora gradually gets used to living in this weird place. Only real cons is how every night in his room, he can hear strange children's voices and bizarre noises, which gives him the increasing impression that maybe his room is haunted? The landlord did tell him however, that everyone's individual rooms is bound by their 'soul', and so intruders of any kind cannot enter unless Hisora opens a door for them... Still. This place has to be haunted. Besides that, Hisora gets to know the other eligible bachelors who inhabit this realm, and he even gets to play a round of mafia with them one evening! This lets you see how conniving Mio is, and how good at lying Naruomi is. Asuku isn't terrible at lying, but he's generally honest. Koko's just the inexperienced older man who's never played mafia before. Cute.

just playing games with the boyz

Anyways, after chilling a lot, Hisora decides to begin his hunt for the mourning clothes boy here in dead people land... Only [dude of your choice] can step in to protect Hisora from getting himself killed!

FAILURE TO SNAG A MAN DEAD END

If Hisora fails to catch the interest of any of his eligible future boyfriends, he ends up stupidly opening his window one night after someone was knocking on it, then getting pulled out by a ghost demon where he is then eaten alive.
★★★★★★★★★

BONUS LANDLORD BAD END

If Hisora chooses to hang out with the landlord too much during the common route, then this happens. Hisora becomes progressively curious about the strange yet cute boy, and one day the words "Kuro" come out of his mouth. The landlord stares at him and then smiles... Hisora isn't sure why the word came into mind, since when looking at him... shouldn't he think "Shiro" rather than "Kuro"? But with that thought, Hisora just gets more confused as he feels like he's forgetting something... Has he been here before? Does he know the landlord...?

The next day, he sees the boy entering his room. Hisora gets curious about what his room looks like... and approaches to knock before getting dragged inside by the landlord. The landlord tells him "Because you're something so nostalgic, it's agiven you'll make me want to dote on you...", or something like that. Hisora is never heard from again, and we get a scene of his coworkers in irl discussing how he's been gone half a year now. They wonder if, because he was such a strange kid who seemed to have no interests in worldly things, that mayhaps a passing god took notice of him and spirited him away...

So ominous!

[I'll list each route in the order I did them. The order doesn't really matter, however most follow some similar plot beats that I'll describe more in detail in Koko Route and skip over in the one's afterwards so as not to repeat myself too much.]

Koko Route

Hisora finds himself enjoying Koko's company, while they do stuff like chores and cooking together. Hisora loves to help out, and Koko is addicted to housework, so he could always use a helping hand, right?
Hisora showing he has 0 braincells part 1
One day when cooking, Hisora accidentally distracts Koko, resulting in a small kitchen mishap. Seeing the blood, Hisora immediately moves to lick Koko's finger... Since that's what you do, right? Koko is appalled, all like 'umm you don't gotta do that I'll just auto heal since I'm not a flesh human like you???' and Hisora's like omg sorry tehe I forgot... but I can't just let you bleed in front of me like that it makes me want to help :) See licking the blood make it not bleed anymore.

Koko is shook... /I/ was shook. Koko realizes that Hisora had 0 flirtatious intentions and this is just how he is... Koko teases Hisora about it but Hisora doesn't fucking understand because he has no braincells.

While being good tomodachis, Koko starts a fun game called flirting aggressively with Hisora now and then to see if he ever grows any smarter. Alas, he doesn't. NOTHING goes through Hisora's thick head. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Anyways, Koko's the dude who ends up looking out for Hisora and promising to accompany him on his hunt for the mourning clothes boy, taking him to get a good look around town. It quickly becomes evident that Koko is REALLY popular with the ladies. Like every lady in the street is all over him, hanging off his arms and everything. He attracts every thirsty ho within a 50 mile radius, and Hisora's like wow. One chick asks if Koko's coming 'tonight' and Koko's like sorry I got plans babe. Hisora's like... is that his gf? Wow, so adult. Then some OTHER chick comes over asking if Koko's coming 'tonight' and Koko says yes!? Hisora steps in to tell him to cancel. He can't just cheat on his gf like that! Hisora drags Koko away from the other thirsty ho in a huff, before Koko can explain himself.
Hisora is a mega doutei and can't handle sex related conversations
Koko finally gets a chance to explain himself during lunch... Those girls aren't his gfs and he's not cucking anyone because in fact... they're just his sex friends. Hisora has never even heard this term before since he's a mega virgin, and he is SHAKEN. Having sex with...a girl you're not even in love with? That's illegal. Koko assures him that love comes in all forms... and you don't have to be in romantic love to sleep with someone. This is what the adult world looks like! The bar mama who runs the snack shop they eat at also agrees that the love adults engage in can take all sorts of shapes and sizes. Hisora doesn't know what to think... the adult world is too much for him.

Also, while hanging out, Hisora tries to ask Koko about his life since he's nosey. Koko tells Hisora that he actually has no memory of who he was before coming to the inn. Even his name, 'Koko' is just something he came up with on the fly. Because he feels comfortable 'here' in this new place, he named himself that. (In Japanese koko means here)

Hisora apologizes for ruining Koko's appointment with his sex friend, and when they get back to the inn, he asks if Koko's really gonna go tonight to visit that girl... Koko's all like "I won't if you sleep with me instead tonight... 😉" Assuming Koko means platonic sleeping next to each other sleepover, Hisora happily agrees! He heads to Koko's room that night with his blankets and everything, excited for their sleepover. Koko drops like 20 hints about his intentions towards Hisora, but literally NOTHING makes it past Hisora's thick virgin skull.
hisora: umm why are you touching my dick that's not what friends do is it...
Initially surprised that Koko rolls over onto his side of the sheets, Hisora is very much extra surprised when Koko begins to touch his special place... and begins to CRY because he's confused! Koko apologizes a lot, and is just like "damn I had an idea you might've not known what my intentions were but I never would've guessed... ur actually that.... stupid dense...." Hisora had no idea that two men could engage in sex acts together, and is soon educated by Koko on the matter. Apparently Koko is pan, as he couldn't give a bigger shit about who he's sleeping with as long as they want him. Koko's a huge manwhore, so he will take any who come to him. Hisora's just like... wow. Anyways, since Hisora wasn't happy to be molested against his will, Koko promises he won't do anything again. Tonight at least. They sleep soundly until the morning...

They do more adventuring and bonding, and Hisora has the occasional moment of spotting the mourning clothes boy before being overtaken with a weird nightmare vision of screams in his head. So mysterious. Anyways Hisora keeps up his new habit of sharing a bed with Koko! Yay! Koko also persuaded Hisora to let him rub their dicks together in the bath for fun earlier too... You know how it is. Just simple dick rubbing fun between platonic friends.

Hisora and Koko end up having a heart to heart. Hisora's not that stupid, and has clearly noticed that Koko is addicted to being loved. Like he goes out of his way to help others not for the sake of helping others, but so that he can feel needed and loved by the people around him. Even when it comes to sex, he isn't fucking around for the sake of fucking, but because he likes to be needed by the horny sluts in town. Koko will become what other people need, so that they'll WANT HIM. Hisora asks Koko if this makes him feel tired?? Like, living just to please others is kinda... sounds like a rough lifestyle. Koko is surprised that someone as stupid as Hisora could psychoanalyze him like this, and fesses up that he is kind of tired. He's afraid of who he was before he lost his memories, and acting like this makes him feel like he really exists and has a place in the universe. But out of everyone... the only person who makes him really actual thirsty for rather than just loaning himself out to is Hisora. Hisora is his ideal person. Hisora NEEDS someone with him to keep him from killing himself on accident, and Koko can be that person... He also doesn't have to try so hard to be someone else with Hisora, since Hisora is a choroi dumbass and will accept literally anyone. Hisora is Koko's ideal... and he asks Hisora to promise that he won't let anyone else help him. Only Koko. And in exchange, Koko will do anything for him... Win win, right? Hisora, being stupid, thinks this sounds fine and agrees.

Life goes on. Next major scene is when Hisora once again tries to stick his neck out for randos. He finds some dudes in town trying to sekuhara a young girl, so he steps in to get them to cut it out! The dudes are immediately drawn to Hisora's delectable smell, and toss the girl to the side in order to switch the plan to trying to rape Hisora instead. Hisora's aboutta have a bad time when Koko finally catches up, completely snaps and starts bashing the rapists' heads in until they're all bloody pulps. Koko seems to have become unhinged due to what just happened, and grabs Hisora. He becomes desperate to have sex with Hisora, thinking it'll make everything better, and confirm that he's doing a good job of protecting Hisora or something like that... Like if he fucks Hisora it'll make Hisora happy and love him? Anyways he pushes Hisora into a nearby little cabin house thingy and is aboutta commit a crime when Hisora gives him a hug and tells him that he's not goin' anywhere. That he sees Koko for who he is, and accepts him just the way he is. Koko doesn't need to try so hard and like have sex with him or anything... everything's fine.
dw bb ur dumbass bae is here for u
Koko finally calms down, and the two go home together. He's still kind of completely out if it though, and when dragged back to the inn, he sees Komachi-san...and snaps. (Reminder, Komachi's the middle aged salaryman who lives at the inn too) Koko DASHES out of the inn, a complete mess, and Hisora chases after him, just to see Koko throw himself off the rails of the road, splattering against the ground deep below... since apparently this road is kind of high up. Hisora tries to jump the rail to help, but Komachi stops him. Hisora's a flesh human, so unlike Koko, he wouldn't recover if he hurt himself. Komachi insists that they call the others to collect Koko.

Going back to the inn and talking to Komachi, it turns out that Komachi is Koko's UNCLE. This entire time, he's known who Koko was from irl, and was hanging around to watch over him. Since Koko and Hisora are clearly a thing, Komachi tells Hisora the full story.

When Koko was young, his mom died and it really had a big affect on his dad. For one, dad started to make Koko dress like a girl, and began to sleep with him and pretending that he was his own mom. This only happened behind closed doors though, so people like Komachi had NO idea what was happening. Koko never opened up to anyone about it either... One day, Komachi finally found out what was happening, and had dad arrested. He adopted Koko and raised him like his own son, feeling SO guilty that he never noticed what was happening. He treasured Koko more than anything, and desperately wanted to give Koko a real home where he could finally become happy. Afraid of being a burden, Koko learned how to do housework and chores in order to make Komachi's life easier. Komachi didn't need him to do any of that, but he saw that it made Koko happy to be useful to Komachi...

One day, dad got out on bail or something and figured out where Koko was. He broke into the house, and was upset to see Koko living like a housewife for Komachi's sake. Koko apparently told dad that Komachi was his NEW dad, and it pissed real dad off so much he cut off Koko's arms so that he could never cook for Komachi again. Dad was seriously arrested this time for real, and Komachi blamed himself for everything. Afraid for Koko, he sent him to an institution away from himself... thinking that he himself was having a negative affect on Koko. Koko became super emo after that, desperate for Komachi to come back, and when visiting one time, Koko even tried to offer his body to Komachi in order to persuade him to make things back to how they were. Komachi was heartbroken, and told Koko that he never had to do anything dirty like that again. This hurt Koko a lot, making him feel completely unwanted and useless to Komachi, so Koko threw himself out the window. Komachi tried to stop him, and then... both of them ended up here at the inn! So they're comatose irl! Great! Seeing how happy Koko was here with his amnesia, Komachi had decided to just stay here forever to watch over him forever. Koko means more to him than his own life, so whatever is best for Koko, he will commit to that...

DEAD END

Hisora is shook by the story, so he immediately dashes out of the building in an attempt to find Koko. Unfortunately, he doesn't find Koko, and instead gets caught by a giant tentacle monster that then graphically rapes him to death. RIP.

★★★★★★★★★

Hisora is shaken by the story and wants to run out to look for Koko, but Komachi stops him and persuades him to sit still since going out on his own would be too dangerous. Anyways, Koko is apparently really good at running away, as the others didn't find him where he splattered on the ground. Hisora is SO worried.

BAD END

One night, Hisora waits at the front door of the inn hoping Koko will arbitrarily come home, and ends up falling asleep while waiting. Just as he hoped, Koko ends up coming back and spotting the defenseless Hisora. He feels self-conscious, wondering if Hisora is just going to leave him after learning how to leave this world. Sooo he gets inspired by what his own father did to him, and decides to lop off Hisora's legs while he's asleep! The shock causes Hisora to fall into a temporary coma, and when he finally wakes up... he has amnesia, forgetting literally everyone and everything... Koko decides to take care of Hisora and be his one and only for the rest of their lives! Not knowing anything else anymore, Hisora becomes his spoiled little baby and even shit talks the other people in the inn, since all he knows is Koko and what Koko tells him! It's really fucked up and Koko just dotes on his little legless baby boyfriend and its implied the Kuro's like lowkey annoyed at this turn of events but yeah what can he do, he has a 'don't interfere with the guests' policy.

this has to be some kind of fetish right
★★★★★★★★★

Anyways, none of that happens obviously, and instead Koko continues to not come home as Hisora worries his head off about it. The other boys end up forming a search party and finally spot him in town one day. Mio knocks him over the head in a surprise attack so that he can't run away, and they drag Koko back home. Koko wakes up, and he and Hisora have a tender moment. Hisora's like don't feel emo because ilu just the way you are! Idc if you don't have arms irl because I LOVE YOU!! I kno u went thru a lot... but damn if I won't try to support you cuz ... ilu. Koko is sooo moved all like wow Hisora ilu too.

them being mushy mushy
Hisora gives Koko the courage to face his fears... amazing. But the story can't be resolved that easily, because Hisora hasn't found the mourning clothes guy yet. Randomly, Hisora has a vision and bursts outta the inn, heading towards the local temple. He then conveniently remembers EVERYTHING!!

The mourning clothes guy was actually his own older brother Sata, who he had deleted from memory after losing him in a car accident. One day when visiting their dad's grave, Hisora saw a kid run out into the street to chase a ball while an incoming car was headed towards him. Hisora jumped in to try to help, and Sata desperately jumped in as well to save Hisora. In the end, the rando kid was fine and both Sata and Hisora were sent to the hospital. Their spirits landed in the mysterious dead land inn... and they had a great fun ol' time there! Hisora befriended the mysterious boy at the temple, and named him Shiro! Also deciding to name the landlord Kuro so that they'd match. Wow. They have fun for a few days, and Sata then told Hisora to go back to irl. Sata can't go with him though because he's dying. Hisora ended up going back... but at what cost. He was so traumatized that he deleted his memories of having a nii-chan to begin with. Maybe he ended up coming to this dead land in order to regain the memories of his brother. Apparently Hisora had promised his nii-chan that he'd live happily without him. But look what happened! Instead, Hisora dove into a lifestyle of doing nothing but part time jobs and being miserable. Apparently Hisora subconsciously has been trying to make his own life harder so that he wouldn't have the time or energy to think about the things that made him sad. Emo.

Now that that's all resolved, Hisora and Koko duke out their feelings, and Koko tells Hisora his real name... which I forgot. lol. Anyways, since Hisora's a flesh human he'll probably still retain his memories of this place. But Koko is different! The spirits who come here won't take these memories back with them. Koko will forget Hisora... so they kiss kiss fuck and hope that this will somehow leave a lasting impression on Koko's subconscious.

Back irl Hisora ends up getting a real job and volunteering at the hospital, becoming Koko's caretaker. He even applies to get a thingy that lets him be an official caretaker for disabled people or something so that he can potentially take care of Koko personally as his live-in boyfriend or whatever if Koko ever perhaps wants to live with him perhaps. They talk, and Hisora accidentally calls Koko by his first name... and Koko tells him that he feels like there was someone in his dreams that called him by his name. Only his uncle calls him by name, so who is this other person... something about the way Hisora said it... perhaps it was him? Hisora asks Koko to move in with him, and even though they technically barely know each other now, Koko agrees since he feels naturally drawn to this rando hospital volunteer. Yay!
now koko has cool prosthetics

★Mio Route

Hisora having no sense of personal boundaries as usual
So this time, Hisora spends an obscene amount of time with Mio instead of anyone else, and the two become fast friends (?). Hisora almost immediately displays his lack of braincells when around the second fucking time they are alone together in the dining room, Hisora finds Mio sleeping on the ground... so he makes Mio use his lap as a pillow... because otherwise it's bad for his back or something ................................. Mio's just like ....... ummmmmmmmmmmmm that's kinda ...... uhhhh .... well I'm not about borrowing a dude's lap but whatever /falls asleep immediately. Hisora has NO idea that what he just did is fuckin GAY because his HEAD IS EMPTY.

Basically all they do is Hisora is a completely fucking dumbass and Mio immediately realizes this and just kinda messes with him and sticks with him. He comes across as kinda reliable from Hisora's POV, but from my point of view it's clear that he's up to something. Like... the vibe I got that he's aboutta trick or lie to Hisora because Hisora is SO gullible and stupid and Mio is very 100% clearly hiding things and keeping secrets by pretending he's a lazy asshole. Anyways, this time when Koko needs chores to be done in town for him, of course Hisora goes to town with Mio instead of Koko. It's made clear that a lot of people don't mess with Mio, and that he's well known around the neighborhood. Again, Mio gives Hisora the impression that he is surprisingly reliable! He may be a lazy ass and shady as fuck but whatever he's cool I guess...

So since Hisora doesn't like sleeping in his haunted room by himself of course he starts having sleepovers in Mio's! Hisora's like omg why do you help me so much Mio there's nothing in it for you... uwu and Mio's like it's because we are TOMODACHIS obviously wink. Of course he is just helping Hisora from the goodness of his altruistic heart. They get along great and go out on more mysterious mourning clothes boy hunting and Mio protects Hisora, acting like a dumb shit but rubbing his head at times and calling him a good boy. Hisora's like umm omg... u//u why he do that.

The only kinda weird thing is it does seem like there's some folks in town who don't like Mio?? It's fine though since he can just beat them until they're all pulp and gunk so they can't bother him anymore haha easy. Hisora's like .... um.... okay.
nothing to see here fellas
Hisora gets kind of worried so he asks Mio if he's okay... Seeing Hisora's genuine concern for him makes Mio start to feel a little bad, and he gets weird about it. He waves it off and starts acting like his dumbass self again though, so Hisora's just left worrying about him on the inside without a chance for voicing his concerns again.

When they get back home and do this and that fun times, the next day Hisora runs into some weirdo hoodie guy in the inn. The guy immediately starts ranting about how Mio is a god and that Hisora doesn't have the right to be close to him???? The guy pulls out a knife and is about to shank Hisora when he screams for Mio, and as soon as he does the hoodie guy like barrel rolls out the window to avoid being seen by the object of his affections. Mio hears about the hoodie guy and immediately becomes disgusted. Hisora wants to alert everyone about this crazy guy in their inn, but Mio assures him that it's not necessary. It's clear the hoodie guy isn't a threat! (To anyone except HISORA that is...)

Anyways plot continues bla bla ghost hunting bla bla Hisora has delusions or whatever about the boy yada yada. They go to a river and Hisora sees a weird little furball looking like it's stuck in the current, about to drown. He immediately dives in to try to help it, and manages to go help it...but starts drowning himself. Mio starts screaming his head off and panics like crazy, trying to get to Hisora. When he manages to drag Hisora out of the river, Mio is PISSED. He smacks him in the head and starts yelling WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!! YOU COULD'VE DIED!!!! They start arguing about it, but Hisora can't say anything when Mio brings up how while he himself can't die doing reckless stuff as a ghost... if Hisora dies it's all over! Mio gives Hisora his jacket to make him slightly less cold, and they return to the inn..

Hisora ends up bedridden with fever, and gets put in Mio's room to recover (since he doesn't like his own room). For whatever reason he starts to feel a little hot in a certain area...(if you catch my drift) and begins self treating his physical ailments (if you catch my drift), when Mio walks in... and assists him... if you catch my drift. Just bros helping bros y'know nothing weird about it! Mio totally insists this is just a bro bonding experience haha. Friendship!

After Hisora recovers, they party some more and end up having a drinking party in Mio's room, just the two of them. Hisora gets completely wasted and starts babbling about life back as a living person. Mio insists that life here is superior and that the real world ain't that great, but still... Hisora starts to cry drunk. When Mio rubs his head to comfort him, Hisora calls him Nii-chan which has Mio a little shook. Hisora starts talking about how he thinks Mio's worried about something, and that if there's anything he can do to help...he wants to do it... He wants to support Mio! Mio gets all like aahahahaaaa I'm ttly not worried about anything haha... and ends up closing in on Hisora and kissing him, and Hisora's like ...?? what is happening. He is so drunk and delirious that he doesn't really register anything that's happening.

Hisora then suddenly gets really nauseous like he's gonna throw up, so Mio...helps him out... Sticks his fingers up Hisora's throat to help clear the way haha just bros being bros! Platonic puke assisting or whatever the fuck haha such bro friendship.
This scene was so weirdly sexy idk!
So Hisora passes the fuck out and Mio feels really troubled by how much of a goodie pure boy Hisora is... wonder what he could possibly be feeling troubled about eh?

Next day Hisora gets up to get a glass of water, and overhears Mio talking with Akari in the dining room. Basically Akari seems to know everything, and is talking loudly about how Mio is clearly USING Hisora as BAIT to lure out his perverted stalker, the hoodie boy. He befriended Hisora, but only to lure out this crazy guy... putting Hisora in danger just to drag out his stalker... Hisora is heart broken. He doesn't know how to feel. Was their friendship just a sham?? He leaves to go back to his room, and later Mio finds him and tries to talk, acting as he usually does. Hisora however, doesn't really want to look at his face anymore...

Mio keeps trying to talk to Hisora like the whole day, but Hisora avoids him... until Mio starts getting mad and corners him, demanding answers! So Hisora fesses up...that he heard everything. Mio tries to reason with him, in that they can both profit from this arrangement kind of... but Hisora doesn't want to hear reasons. Was all the kindness Mio showed him fake...? When he saved Hisora from drowning in the river and was so mad... was he mad that Hisora almost died, or mad that he almost lost his bait? Hisora starts to cry and calls Mio The Worst. Mio is shook...left without words...

So after that they're just on bad terms now. Hisora replaces Mio with Naruomi who is of course happy to protect him from monsters on his mourning clothes boy hunting. It's really obvious Mio's super upset about this thing because he has unrequited feelings for Hisora that he's still in denial about, but of course Hisora's not going to be able to see that because he has no braincells. That night at dinner, Akari ends up ranting the entire backstory on why Mio is so obsessed with catching his stalker, Totonoe.

Tl;dr, Mio was an orphan at an orphanage, and Totonoe was a fellow kid who he befriended. Totonoe was a yandere who was upset that Mio cared for others besides his 'best friend', and one day ends up killing everyone else in the orphanage. Now Mio can only have him as a friend!! Yeah...no... it doesn't work like that. Seems Totonoe stabbed Mio after getting rejected and then stabbed himself, so now they are both here. Great. Hisora is shook. No wonder Mio was so... y'know... weird about everything. Being soo sympathetic, Hisora now sees everything in a new light.

So Hisora being the stupid bitch he is gets confused about why he wants to forgive Mio even tho he was really mad at him. He has a talk with Naruomi about it, to which he gets told that he was mad not because he got betrayed, but because someone he treasured broke that trust between them. Hisora's like wow are you saying I value Mio as a friend? WOW!! Naruomi is SO SMART!! He then stays the night since his room sucks. In the middle of the night, Hisora wakes up and ends up going down to the living room where he finds Mio sleeping on the floor as he tends to do.

DEAD END (though you don't die)

If Hisora decides he's not ready to talk to Mio, he goes back to his room to avoid the problem... only to get knocked unconscious from a strike to the head. He wakes up to find himself in Totonoe's room where the creep then rapes him, telling him he intends to use Hisora as a replacement for Mio.... weirdo. Game abruptly ends here.

★★★★★★★★★

So that clearly doesn't happen, and Hisora decides to wake up Mio to have... The Talk. Mio was conveniently having a graphic flashback about the time Totonoe killed all his beloved fellow orphan friends before Hisora wakes him up. In a bad mood, he gets upset that Hisora smells like Naruomi (since Naruomi's room always has a thick perfume smell he likes to put in his room) and assaults Hisora out of jealousy. He keeps asking Hisora if he hates him now, but also covers his mouth so he can't hear an answer... and Hisora realizes even though Mio keeps treating him like shit, he actually... still really likes him...  After the incident, Hisora is knocked the fuck out so Mio carries him back to his room where he then mopes around guiltily for hours.

Naruomi comes banging on the door and Mio comes out so they can have a talk. Apparently the house didn't clean itself yet so the evidence of Mio's crime was still around and Naruomi is PISSED. He slaps the shit out of Mio before insisting he apologize to Hisora and have a long talk after he stops being unconscious.

When Hisora finally wakes up, he's alone in the room and there's a knocking on the door. He stupidly opens the door only to get immediately kidnapped by Totonoe, who does a barrel roll out the window while holding onto him. Mio hears the ruckus from where he was at and rushes out trying to chase him, but Totonoe disappears into the night while holding Hisora. He dumps Hisora in the middle of town and tells him to die before vanishing. Hisora is then set upon by some ghost demons! Fun. While trying to escape, Mio finally appears and gets his arm bit off while trying to protect Hisora. Apparently that furball that Hisora saved way back when had returned to tell Mio where he was! What a nice critter.

So while trying to go back home, Totonoe once again drops down to harass Hisora and Mio, going on and on about how he hates seeing Mio-kun flirting with other men like this pig while in front of him! Mio completely snaps and after gaining the advantage in a fight with Totonoe begins beating the ever-loving shit out of him. Since Totonoe can't die, this just goes on and on as Totonoe spits out weird creepy lines about how Mio's hate for him is actually love... and Mio starts going so damn crazy he begins morphing into a real monster.

Mio is talented in the art of beating people to death with only one arm

BAD END (where you die)

Hisora begs Mio to stop beating Totonoe, but to no avail. Mio ends up becoming consumed by his hate and transforms into a monster... losing his sanity and then turning on Hisora and eating him. Fun!

Hisora being eaten alive by... goat soccer wizard monster Mio?

★★★★★★★★★

Hisora begs Mio to stop,  and is all like "Your family wouldn't want you to turn into a monster like this!!" which makes Mio stop in his tracks. Hisora is right... what would beating Totonoe even do? In fact, that's exactly what the creep wants. He just wants Mio's attention. His dead siblings would probaby be happier if Mio did not spend his life in the afterlife chasing after his murderer stalker forever. Mio tells Totonoe to go jack off by himself forever, and that he's now a changed man. He admits that this whole time, he stayed in the afterlife because he wanted to find a chance to get his revenge on Totonoe, but clearly that was a stupid idea so he's gonna move on. He's gonna get a new life. A life without this creep in it. Totonoe is left heartbroken on the floor.

They go home and finally have The Talk. Mio fesses up about after The Incident, he decided he didn't want to live alone and committed to living in purgatory forever. But then, Totonoe popped up... he's been obsessed with revenge ever since! Totonoe was really good at running away though, so when Hisora showed up, Mio thought it was his big chance to bait out the elusive stalker. But that time Hisora almost drowned is when Mio realized... he couldn't do that. He couldn't just use Hisora, because he didn't want to lose him... And he couldn't ask Hisora for help either, because then he'd have to explain the part where he befriended him in order to use him as bait. He didn't want to hurt Hisora's feelings --> ran around the issue --> Hisora found out anyways and got his feelings hurt --> all this shit. RIP.

Anyways Mio decides he's gonna go back to being alive and start a new life and be productive and all that, and confesses his love to Hisora. How even tho Hisora's a empty-headed idiot, he fell in love with his honest straight-forward nature. Hisora replies that he also likes Mio even tho Mio's a frivolous playboy. They have one last passionate fuck in an attempt to burn the memories of their love into Mio's body. Since yeah, when returning to the real world, Mio's gonna forget everything since he's just Mio's spirit... while Hisora will remember everything as a flesh human. In the morning they say goodbye to everyone, and return to the world of the living.

Hisora goes running everywhere in an attempt to find the hospital Mio was staying at, which of course doesn't go very well as it's weird and shady of him to be asking around at hospitals. He finally finds Mio, but Mio doesn't reccognize him and the nurses call the cops on him. Hisora's heartbroken, so he just doesn't see Mio again for 6 whole fucking years. He then sees Mio on TV talking at an interview about reopening the orphanage or whatever, so of course he goes to lurk around like a stalker for a few days. On the 3rd day Mio is like ummm hey... and Hisora's like "OMG I'm not someone suspicious... Sorry... I'll be leaving.." and starts crying like a baby. Mio stops him by calling his name and is like "Oh you said your name at the hospital 6 years ago... idk you... I think.. but I get the feeling that you were someone I knew...? Ummm idk I just feel rly worked up when thinking of you. Please stay so we can talk about it?" And Hisora's like YOU BAKA and cries more. The two then go into the orphanage together to begin their new romance!

Mio flirting with Hisora immediately after meeting him even tho he still has no memories

Asuku Route

For whatever reason, Hisora finds himself in the same room as Asuku on multiple occasions. Asuku for the most part can't stand the sight of him, constantly threatening him with his metal bat. However, there's one point where Hisora tries asking him for help to rescue some dude who got stuck under a box inside the yard shed... and Asuku is paralyzed with fear. Why is that? Hisora would poke further, but it's really not his place to ask.

Asuku in casual wear bcuz he cute
On the day where Hisora needs to do chores, he initially asks Mio for help... but Mio, being the tricky bitch he is, convinces poor innocent Hisora into knocking on Asuku's door to invite on the chores quest, before quietly running away. Asuku by the way, enjoys sleeping in until afternoon, and the thing he hates most in the world is being woken up. While Asuku is initially pissed as hell, strangely enough, he agrees to help... He takes Hisora through town but the entire time he's just pissed off and refuses to talk to Hisora, calling him annoying and the like. Hisora is curious what he did to make Asuku dislike him so much, but for some reason, asking him directly just seemed to make Asuku more annoyed? Wonder why.

After a long day of annoying Asuku, Koko gives Hisora a cake as a present for doing chores. Being the reasonable person he is, he asks Asuku if he'd like to share it with him, to which Asuku unexpectedly accepts. Afraid of Mio showing up to steal some, he invites Hisora to his room where they can indulge in cake in peace... When visiting Asuku's room, Hisora notices that he keeps a crap-ton of lights dangling everywhere, making quite the peculiar home-decor.

Hisora is not versed in social norms
While eating cake, Hisora starts asking nosey questions while attempting to feed him, which of course pisses Asuku off, resulting in Hisora accidentally knocking a piece of cake off the table... which Asuku catches. Being a person who doesn't believe in the 3-second rule, Asuku tries to throw the piece away when Hisora decides to just eat it out of Asuku's palm?? Since it'd be a waste to toss it?? He just... eats it... out of his palm. Asuku is thrown into a state of complete shock until Hisora finishes it, and demands to know what the heck Hisora's plotting... but Hisora... has no self-awareness that what he did was a bit... y'know. Asuku, embarrassed, then banishes the air-head from his room.

That night, Hisora opens his window and almost gets murdered by a monster when Asuku saves his life by tossing his bat at him. He then comes to his room to get his bat back and yells at him for being stupid before deciding that he's gonna be Hisora's teammate when going out looking for the mourning clothes kid since if Hisora went alone he'd surely die. As soon as that got settled, the door suddenly swings open and knocks Asuku out... Mio has arrived to play!! But seeing what he's done, he quickly escapes. Not knowing what to do, Hisora just leaves Asuku in his room and turns off the lights to go to sleep. Asuku wakes up in the dead of the night, and immediately has a panic attack. Turns out he's deathly afraid of the dark! After Hisora turns the lights back on, Asuku escapes to go back to his room...

After that, they get into the routine of going adventuring. Hisora prepares him breakfast coffee to wake Asuku up, and they go adventuring in town! Asuku is extremely unfriendly and complains all the time, but gets super pissed whenever Hisora tells him he doesn't have to help. "If you don't care whether I leave or die why are you helping me... I don't want to trouble you!" And Asuku's like "shut the fuck up or else. Just keep walking next to me." Is this what you call tsundere?

Asuku beating up local punks

At one point while Hisora is minding his own business, Akari suddenly appears to talk to him about Asuku! He just starts babbling on and on about how Asuku is the son of a famous doctor, and how he was once kidnapped for ransom. His dad then refused to pay, ans Asuku was apparently abandoned in the mountains while tied up and blindfolded for days. By the time he was rescued, he was on the brink of death! Apparently this was hit news at the time and Akari read it in magazines, how could Hisora not know about it!? And since Asuku is such a violent guy but is showing Hisora this unexpected kindness, this must mean Hisora's giving him his body, right!?!?? Akari then starts detailing aspects of Hisora's lower region he noticed while in the bath. Hisora is understandably pissed and tells Akari to fuck off and never talk about this shit again...

Anyways Hisora becomes more concerned about Asuku's well being because of this new information, which of course just pisses Asuku off. After this and that of Hisora being stupid and nosey and Asuku being extremely dishonest with himself, they end up having an argument which of course Hisora takes the wrong way. While Asuku doesn't want to admit he's concerned for Hisora's well being, Hisora believes that Asuku doesn't like him. So he decides to go out to town alone one day, which results in him getting kidnapped IMMEDIATELY by the local punks who hate Asuku.

ASUKU DOESN'T LIKE YOU ENOUGH DEAD END

Taken to a shady little shed in the mountains, Hisora gets raped by the punks and is implied to probably get eaten by them after too... No one comes to save him, and he laughs knowing that Asuku wouldn't care because they're not friends...

★★★★★★★★★

After getting his toes licked for a while in the mountain shed, Asuku appears to save him! However, being in a shed in the mountains brings back bad memories, so Asuku freezes up. Luckily Mio also came along, kicking out Asuku and Hisora to have some alone time together while he sorts things out with the punks. Asuku and Hisora do indeed have a tender moment, where Asuku tries to express that he doesn't want to see Hisora hurt and that he's grown attached to him... except that comes out as "you're an idiot I feel disgusted when I look at you you're so stupid I can't stand seeing you get yourself killed like an idiot because it disgusts me" stuff like that. Hisora does not pick up on the hints.

Asuku takes Hisora back home to treat his wounds (since he got hurt protecting a frozen up Asuku while in the crapshack kidnapper shed), and he is quite dexterious with his hands... Asuku also ends up opening up more about himself, admitting that he was an unloved child because he couldn't get the grades his parents wanted from him. Because he was too stupid to be loved by them, he'd get into fights while staying out late after school, since he couldn't stand going home and seeing their disappointment. When he got kidnapped, he overheard his father on the phone with his kidnapper, laughing and saying that he'd be happy if Asuku was killed by the kidnappers. Ever since he's been scarred for life, and that's why he doesn't want to go back to living.

Now that they've made up, the gang all have a drinking party and Asuku ends up completely wasted after jealously watching Mio hang around Hisora. He then clings to Hisora like a baby.

Asuku expressing his homosexuality
After carrying Asuku back to his room, Hisora fails to leave because Asuku wakes up and starts asking how Hisora feels about him (while still drunk). He fesses up about how he was initially scared of Hisora, because when Hisora showed up everything here changed... Since Asuku was traumatized by the expectations of his parents, he enjoyed how nobody here cared about each other. But thanks to Hisora being a people magnet, now everyone's hanging out more and being all personable!! Hisora of course clarifies that he doesn't dislike Asuku, and in fact was more convinced that Asuku disliked him. Asuku is so happy that the feeling is mutual, that he ends up sucking Hisora off like he's digging into a midnight snack before passing out immediately. While Hisora is surprised by the turn of events, he is satisfied, since he's actually grown pretty fond of Asuku for some reason.

Asuku saying words he will regret when sober
The next morning, Asuku tries to kill Hisora and then himself so as to delete his drunk crimes. After realizing that Hisora is actually gay for him back, his panic induced rage is quelled. While Asuku continues to be extremely tsundere, it becomes noticeable to everyone around them that they're basically a happy couple.

Hisora, Asuku, and their lovechild (long story)
TL;DR This kid named Ao showed up at the inn a few days ago and Hisora and Mio have generally taken turns looking after him. He was raised by a single mother, and got here because he threw himself out the window to try and find his dad who he was told is "in the sky". Asuku doesn't like kids but Hisora forces him to put up with this.

One night, Ao stays over with Hisora and Asuku to complete the married couple aesthetic, but Hisora wakes up to find that Ao is missing. Ao thought he saw his daddy outside, and ran off into the darkness! He's gonna get eaten by monsters at this rate... Asuku tries to stop Hisora from chasing after Ao, but Hisora does not take no for an answer and runs off.

BAD END

Hisora runs into the residential district, where an old man tells him he knows where Ao is. Being a gullible idiot, he follows the old man... only to predictably get attacked. Asuku, who'd been chasing after Hisora all this time, finally catches up to find the old man eating Hisora. He immediately beats the shit out of grandpa and tries to recover Hisora while freaked the fuck out about it. Hisora has lost an eye, but is still breathing... he's alive...

Carried back to Asuku's room, Asuku does the best he can to take care of Hisora. There's no proper doctors or medical tools here though, and he also isn't a licensed doctor either, so all he can really do is improvise. As Hisora recovers, he's completely traumatized from the incident, having lost his voice and now barely showing emotions. Apparently Ao never came back, so everyone assumes he got eaten by ghost demons. Anyways, regardless of how fucked up everything is, deep down Asuku is a little satisfied, knowing that now Hisora really does belong to him...

Similar vibes to Koko's bad end except 923059x less creepy
★★★★★★★★★

So obviously, rather than running to the residential district, Hisora ran to the shops area. He finds Ao being attacked by ghost demons on the way there, and sends Ao home while he fends them off. Asuku appears as well, but the two of them end up getting knocked off a cliff into the woods during the scuffle. While in the woods, Asuku hides Hisora in a conveniently placed hole in a tree, and tries to cover him with his back. The two share a tender moment where Asuku confesses his love to Hisora. He's also convinced that Hisora is too dense to love him back, which is a fair thought tbh.

Hand holding for the first time... romance blooms while being chased by ghost demons

A ghost demon comes looking for them, so Asuku struggles to fend it off while INSISTING that Hisora NOT try to go sacrificing himself or using himself as a distraction again. Because if Hisora still thinks that doing something like that would make Asuku happy, then he really is an idiot!!!! However, Asuku isn't strong enough to win this fight. Luckily, Otome Mama from the town bar ends up dashing in and decimating the demon within seconds. Turns out Mama was Ao's father this whole time, and realized what happened when a friend witnessed their gallant rescue of Ao and told her about it. Mama hopes that the two can convince Ao to go back to being alive, and that they should really go back too. This really is no place to be spending your youth!!

So they go home and Hisora has a dramatic talk with Ao, persuading him to finally go home, which he does. Thinking about Ao's familial feelings, Hisora finally is struck with realizations and has his onii-chan moment, rushing out of the building towards the shrine. Asuku goes with him, but he's confused the entire time. As soon as Hisora gets to the shrine and remembers everything, he passes the fuck out so Asuku carries him back to his room...

Upon waking up, they have a dramatic conversation about how Hisora can go home now and how they're in love with each other etc etc. Asuku wants Hisora to go home and make a new family or whatever if he has none, since he's such an idiot he'll probably attract a new boyfriend easy... but Hisora's all like THERE'S NO POINT IF IT ISN'T YOU... Asuku does not trust his irl self at all and knows how difficult he is, so there's really no guarantee he would be open to getting to know Hisora again, much less falling in love with him again... but Hisora wants him to believe. Power of love. Asuku is finally persuaded, and they promise each other that they will give each other a reason to live... since both of them have nothing waiting for them in the real world except each other. So obviously with that out of the way, they fuck passionately.

Hisora wakes up to find himself in the hospital. When he exits, he ends up spotting Asuku at the hospital, but it turns out Asuku...has been living a normal life this entire time? He is currently a medical school student, and looks like a very nice and honest boy, helping volunteer at the hospital and working with the patients. Who the fuck... Was everything Hisora experienced just a dream...? How does this add up.

Hisora leaves the hospital in a daze, but Asuku chases after him. It turns out, Asuku's heart had split into two after being traumatized, and the traumatized side of him was what got stuck in dead land. After returning, now his negative half has fused back with his positive half I guess?? So due to this odd circumstances, he's retained his memories of Hisora. That's great. Now they can just  be together without Hisora having to go through extra trouble like in the previous routes! Damn Hisora really hit big in this one... he never even went to college and he got a future doctor snagged for a husband. Jk Asuku said he was still open to checking his options before committing to a doctor life, but I mean he's in med school so... either way Hisora hit it big with this one.

Turns out they're the same age

★Naruomi Route

Hisora once again ignoring social boundaries

Okay tbh I'm sick and tired of writing this review lol... every time I start working on it like.. I put it down and 6 months pass. I played this game how many years ago?? Two? Anyways I'll just tl;dr Naruomi's route really fast.

Naruomi staring lovingly at Hisora while Hisora is as usual confused and being used

Naruomi is Hisora's stalker. He coincidentally ended up here and Hisora was also here so he was like fuckit I'll stay cuz I lurrvveee him. He's like a considerate stalker so if Hisora gets a boyfriend he ain't aboutta throw hands. Apparently Akari is a pedo who's been stalking Naruomi, so it's like a stalker chain. Akari was the truck driver who killed Hisora's brother way back when because he was actaully aiming for Naruomi, hoping to create a circumstance for him and Naruomi to get to know each other. ???????????????????????? Anyways, ofc Hisora had pushed Naruomi out of the way and got hospitalized instead. Apparently Naruomi visited the hospital out of guilt, and fell in love with Hisora's sleeping form. Weird af. He was so obsessed with him so he started stalking him even after Hisora woke up, but never had the guts to talk to him cuz he felt too guilty for 2nd handedly causing Hisora's bro's death. Oops!

Most of the drama if I remember right consists of like.. Naruomi being gay for Hisora and how he's definitely a creepy lowkey yandere but y'know what... not like Hisora will notice anyways. I know one part he recieves a wound I think from a monster and bleeds over Hisora and then fucks him but I don't remember why? Also there's an early bad end where Akari kidnaps and assaults Naruomi etc etc... I dunno. Whatever.

BAD END

While skimming for CGs to use I got this one ending I don't remember getting before the update so it might be new. Hisora is too choroi while dating Naruomi and just accepts all the weirder aggressive stuff he pulls, so the at the end when he learns the truth about Naruomi's causing his brother's death, he can't handle it and has to think about it... so when they get home Naruomi bashes him over the head and spends the rest of the weak using his guts to jack himself off with and slowly eating Hisora's corpse. Fun!

★★★★★★★★★

So if Hisora is less choroi and more capable of critical thinking, that doesn't happen. Anyways everything is resolved, Naruomi faces his issues with Akari and beats him to death, and they go to the real world together. Hisora wakes up and goes visits Naruomi who has no memories of all this so he's like OMG WHY IS THE BOY I STALK VISITING ME IN THE HOSPITAL HOLLLYY SHIT. They live happily ever after. ????????????

Surprise visit from your stalking victim!?

I'm sorry Naruomi. This low budget summary... My memory is pretty good though, right? I mean it's been almost 2 years.

BONUS ENDS

Okay so there's some... alternative endings that are also available in the game.

BROCON END

This end happens every single route so I'll just leave it here. When Hisora has his random revelation and runs to find his bro Sata at the temple, he has a choice to either accept the fact that Sata wants him to find happiness without him... or to be like HELL NO! If you pick that option, Hisora becomes completely delusional and goes back to the inn thinking that Sata onii-chan is still with him, talking to him like an imaginary friend. All the potential boyfriends are like what the fuck??? And nobody knows what to do about Hisora anymore, thinking he's cracked from the stress of not knowing how to go home. Shiro becomes worried about Hisora and Kuro asks him if he wants to go back to the time when Sata was alive. If Hisora says no, he continues to be delusional forever. If he says YES, then he wakes up back as a 10 yo with his onii-chan on the day of the incident. He stops the accident basically by avoiding the truck with his onii-chan, and everyone is happy! He grows up and basically becomes a total bro-con with his bro-con oniichan, and Sata basically treats him like a sugar baby, promising to buy him anything he wants and treat him to whatever because Hisora is his precious little brother! It's like........... kinda..................................... really incestuous vibes. Like... I have two siblings and I'm absolutely positive no older sib is aboutta treat their lil bro like a fucking sugar baby. At least they're happy though.

Hisora and his sugar daddy i mean platonic kind big bro

KURO SHIRO extra stuff i guess

If completing the prerequisites, you can get this interesting turn of events. When Hisora regains his memories of Sata onii-chan, Sata's spirit tells him that he wants Hisora to live a full life without him since he's dead. Hisora usually accepts that, but in the case that he refuses, he becomes delusional, thinking that Sata is still with him and generally creeping out the rest of the cast. While the game usually abruptly ends here, if having spent enough time with the landlord, there's some bonus content.

So while Hisora was a child hanging around here with Sata, he grew quite attached to the landlord's brother who lives at the shrine. He names him Shiro, and the landlord Kuro to match. While most people avoided Shiro, since Hisora was so adamant about seeing how he was doing all the time, he inevitably became attached to him... Shiro is basically a blank slate with barely any emotions, but even so, he grows fond of Hisora. As a gift, he decides to tell Sata about his oncoming death, and offers him a chance to remain here with Hisora forever. Being a good person, Sata declines, and states how he wants Hisora to live a full life without him, because he loves him. Monopolizing him wouldn't be real love! But he does request Shiro to please look after Hisora if he ever becomes lost in the future... Shiro doesn't understand at this time, but by the present day he begins to get an idea for what Sata was talking about...

Also more trivia, Shiro is a Shrine God who is basically a powerful spirit stuck at this shrine forever. Kuro is his younger brother and ended up creating this whole ghost town specifically to entertain Shiro and keep him at peace. After Shiro tells Kuro that he wants to help Hisora, Kuro gives Hisora an ultimatum... To live here forever, or to return to the past. Going to the past gets you brocon end obviously, and staying here for ever just has Hisora continue to live here while being delusional with the two twins watching over him.

KURO SHIRO END

For whatever reason, during Naruomi's route, Hisora interacts a lot more with Shiro than in all the other routes, so Shiro becomes more prone to opening up to him. Though he's still a weird lil creature. This results in him becoming more.. possessive of Hisora than he usually gets. Anyways unlike usual, he approaches Hisora after Hisora gets his memories back of his bro, and is all like.. "If you lonely... I can be with you. Want to be ... together...?" Like that. If Hisora takes his hands we get this ending.

It ends up with Kuro changing the world to suit Shiro's new needs haha... since originally this town was a playground for Shiro, since he has Hisora, nothing else is really necessary anymore? So goodbye everybody. A long and indeterminate period of time passes, and Hisora now lives in eternity in a nice wel furnished home with the twins. Apparently they gift him lovers sometimes that I guess they pick from the world of the living, and Hisora will fuck around with them until they die of old age or return to irl cuz he's immortal now I guess. Hisora tells the twins that he's happy like this, and that he can't imagine a life without being by their side. And so the eternity continues...

Hisora enjoying his platonic eternity with twin gods

Remember when I said I didn't think I'd be thinking about this game soon after finishing it. Well that was more than true. Just look how long it took me to finish. Apparently I'm still missing 1 CG but I have no idea what it is... nor do I really care too much.

This game was okay. The story was okay I guess. I'm mildly interested in seeing more of Hisora's post game lifestyle but not interested enough to remember if I don't get reminded this game exists again. Meh.

  1. Hmm, I kinda like Asuku, probably because he's the only ml who remembers the events of the game.
