Never7 -the end of infinity- | Review + plotdump

Howdy kids. Anyways I was reminiscing about Zero escape and remembered that I had yet to read the infinity series which is also apparently written by Uchikoshi. So here we are. I heard Ever17 is the best one, but I'm stupid so I decided to read this one first because it came first.

Never7
-the end of infinity-

Developer: KID
(main scenario by Uchikoshi Kotaro)
Released in 2000

The first part of the infinity series trilogy.

It's summer of 2019, and young college student Makoto is forced to attend a 'Seminar Camp' by his school, where he not only gets stuck in a time loop but also has bizarre dreams of a mysterious bell accompanied by somebody's death... Can he get out? And more importantly, can he land a hot girlfriend while he's at it?

Just to let you know before you get any big ideas, I didn't find this VN very good, so if you like it please don't read this post.

SYNOPSIS

Makoto is a psych student who has received notice that he must attend a mandatory week long 'seminar camp' lest he get expelled. With no knowledge of what the fuck they're even going to be doing there, he finds himself having a strange dream of a corpse clutching a bell in their hand on April 6th... After waking up to find that of course it's still April 1st, he's left to wonder what it possibly could have mean... A week long trip with an unknown goal while plagued with bizarre dreams and visions of an apparent future... but more importantly, will Makoto get a GF during it!??!?

CAST

Makoto (The protagonist)

[no image because he has no face]

This ugly fool has no face and no personality. His only personality is he likes to play hookie and has a piss poor attendance rate, and that he's headstrong, stubborn, quick to jump to conclusions, and impulsive and easily irritated. What about this sounds like a decent man? NOTHING! WHAT DOES ANY BITCH SEE IN YOU!??!? I DON'T FUCKING KNOW.

Yuka

Yuka looking at you with her glossy shoujo eyes

Yuka is an older student (I think?) And the leader of the group assigned to this seminar camp. She's a serious alcoholic, has a very childish chuuni streak at times, and is generally quick to anger. She suffers from 'anime girl who cooks cursed food' syndrome.

Haruka

Haruka pretending she's a lampstand or something

Haruka skipped a grade so she's younger than everyone else in the group. She's extremely lifeless and barely talks, and generally tries to stay indoors and not get involved with anyone if possible. She has the social awareness of a baby and acts like she's 3 years old at times. Barely has any common sense, and essentially comes across as someone with the intelligence of Chii from Chobits.

Saki

Saki karening

A complete bitch who's staying at a summer villa next door to the main crew's cabin. She's tsundere to the point that she will throw a hissy fit and pick a fight over the stupidest shit, and acts like a Karen most of the time. Of course her super bitch exterior just hides a sensitive and emotionally unstable interior though... as if that makes up for anything.

Kurumi

Kurumi acting like a 12 year old

A 17 year old girl who looks like a middle schooler and acts like a preschooler. She has the emotional intelligence of a 5 year old and runs around like a hyperactive child. A spoiled and annoying brat, she gets upset easily when anything doesn't go her way and can be extremely stupid when it comes to using critical thinking. At least she knows how to read the atmosphere.

Izumi

Izumi being normal and nice

Kurumi's older sister who runs a seaside restaurant by herself as a 'part-timer' since the owner is abroad. As if that makes any sense because she literally works there full-time, part-timer my ass. Anyways she's the mature responsible older sister with a tinge of milf energy type and comes across as a gentle and sweet lady who is too easy on her annoying sister. She loves Kurumi deeply and is very hospitable and accommodating for the most part towards the main cast.

Okuhiko

I can't stand his annoying ass

This guy is the only other male in the game. He is extremely annoying, apparently the scion of a rich family and a womanizer, and generally has 0 positive attributes. But unlike Makoto, he actually attends class so I guess we can't drag him too hard. Either way he's a habitual liar, idiotic, stupid, and overly hostile towards Makoto any time any female shows the ugly sap any semblance of attention. He sucks.

REVIEW

STORY: D| The story was very unimpressive. I feel like Yuka's route was okay, although lacking (though that's expected I guess since all the reveals are in the 'true route'), but the path to the true route is excrutiating with how not entertaining a lot of these routes are. Even at the end, the reveals did not really feel worth the struggle. In general while it's not the worst thing I ever read, it's not very impressive either. It's just mediocre.

CHARACTERS: C| The characters are very 2 dimensional. Their personalities all feel like cardboard cutouts, and there's barely any depth to anyone. The 'depth' the story makes up is always just one or two things that happened in their pasts that now define their character forever. That's not how anyone works... It just feels shallow. The girls also don't respond to the MC's advances like human beings at all. It's as if they're just 2D galgame characters invented to be attracted to an unattractive bastard like the MC for no reason.

ART: C| It's okay. I like the nostalgia of ye olde galgame art, but overall it still isn't anything impressive with some wonky anatomy and angles at times.

DOKIS: F| It's a galgame, but the romance felt like the most thoughtless part of this whole mess. I got negative dokis actually sometimes. I couldn't see where the love was coming from in any of it, and it felt like the typical girls falling for the MC for no reason, and he just spontaneously is suddenly in love with said girl as soon as her route starts.

MUSIC: B-| It's okay. I like the main theme and the OP song, and for the most part the bgm is fine. There aren't a lot of tracks but there's nothing grating and it's all just in the background anyways, so it's fine.

FINAL SCORE: C| 4/10

It's just not that good. Most of the game is just straight dogshit besides some routes which are just mediore at best and boring at worst. Even if the infinity series is 'good' apparently, well this one at least I could not say is worth the read. Maybe I'll change my mind after I read ever17, but for now, I can't recommend Never7 to anyone unless if you have a lot of free time and want to get some peaks at Uchikoshi's past works. And maybe it gives some insight on ever17 too. Who knows. If I ever read it I'll come back and let you know.

Besides all that, feel free to thank me friends. For I have read this game for you so that you don't have to.

CONTENT WARNINGS:

This game features a uni student making moves on a 17 year old who acts like she's fucking 5 years old so that definitely makes any reasonable person feel awkward as hell. Besides that there's nothing really controversial in this game I think besides being mediocre.

Plot Summary starts here!!!!

COMMON ROUTE

The year is 2019. Makoto is a psychology student yet for some reason he's barely gone to class. He then hears their school apparently has a tradition of holding mandatory 'seminar camps', and the one he got assigned to is called the 'Kawashima Party'. Who's the advisor? Who knows, because Makoto didn't go to the camp briefing or to class for that matter... why is he even in school? To drain his parents of university money?

Since he doesn't want to get expelled, he of course goes to the cabin on the island where the camp is taking place... I say camp but it's not like summer camp, it's literally like vacationing at a cabin airbnb on an island. Anyways, there he's acquainted with the fellow camp members and schoolmates, Yuka, Haruka, and Okuhiko.

Who's hand could it be!?!?!? Sussy

The morning of April 1st, Makoto has a bizarre dream where it's April 7th, and somebody's dead with a little bell in their palm... Shooked, he wakes up very confused. Yuka slams the door open all like "WHAT'S GOIN ON!? HOW COULD THIS BE!??!?!" And Makoto's like what... after a few minutes Yuka apologizes saying she just had a strange dream, and returns to her room. Gee wonder what that could possibly mean!!!

Basically on day one Yuka takes like 2 hours to make toast for the team, but it comes out as a black indescribable mess. Makoto's the only one who eats it and he almost dies... very anime. A little girl named Kurumi comes knocking on the door to deliver a pizza at the wrong address, but Okuhiko lies that he's the one who ordered it so everyone gets pizza. Yuka is upset that they'd rather eat pizza than her horrible cooking.

Yuka's cursed anime girl cooking

The squad head out and play around because Yuka's the seminar leader and apparently according to her the purpose of the camp is to form stronger bonds with each other. For some reason. But Makoto still has these bizarre 'premonitions', such as seeing a vision of Haruka tripping on the beach, followed by her tripping on the beach in real time. Wonder what that could possibly mean.  Up to this point also, it's made glaringly evident that Okuhiko is very interested in Haruka and keeps chasing her around even though all she do is stand quietly or say cryptic shit like "I'm nothing... " or whatever like... okay. Anyways, after playing around all day, the crew stop at a beachside restaurant where they learn the pizza from that morning came from. They meet the kind Izumi there, as well as Kurumi again, and they decide to stop there for dinner.

Within minutes, an extremely pissed girl named Saki busts in and starts being like EXCUSE ME WHERE IS YOUR MANAGER!!! I ORDERED A PIZZA AND WAITED FOR 6 HOURS AND IT NEVER CAME >:( So instead of trying to figure out what went wrong, everyone makes fun of her for taking 6 hours until she decided to come asking about it. Kurumi insists she did deliver the pizza though, and it soon gets out that Okuhiko LIED. However, the entire situation is derailed when Yuka recognizes Saki as her old schoolmate from middle school. The situation is diffused and everyone goes back to vibing, now including Saki I guess.

Makoto soon remembers that Izumi won't be able to finish making dinner though, because she's out of rice. Everyone does a triple take all like bruh... how could you possibly know that. But it's true. Izumi has no rice... Everyone's all like omg sussy about it, but either way, Makoto decides to evade everyone's questioning glances by running out to buy the rice himself, along with [girl of your choice]. After a hetero bike ride and back, the squad happily eats. I think during dinner Izumi also mentions that a storm is approaching the island so the ferry's and stuff will be closed for a few days. This surely won't be important at all.

Buying rice with girl of my choice Saki

The team then decide to break into a nearby hotel's pool in order to chillax, and they all play around by the water. Makoto suddenly has a premonition that an earthquake will happen, and then an earthquake happens. Wow. The security guard chases them out of the area once they're found after the ruckus.

I think around here, on the way back Makoto passes along the beach, but finds that fucking bell from his dream. He's like omg this shit cursed... and literally gets chills just looking at it. He's so scared he yeets that shit back into the ocean.

April 2nd, the team decide to go to the pool again but during legal hours so that they can actually swim. Kurumi was excited about it but last minute she suddenly says she has a headache and backs out. Wonder why? Makoto goes to the pool and has fun with the girls (and Okuhiko I guess).

Yuka gets piss drunk since they served beer there and by the time they get back to Izumi's restaurant she's throwing a drunken fit about wanting tuna. Kurumi suggests they go fishing. They decide to take Izumi's car to the pier, but Makoto has a premonition that her car won't start. Low and behold, it won't start. Everyone's shooked, particularly Izumi who wants to question Makoto about it, but Okuhiko is just like umm STOP MAKING SHIT UP BRO!!! You can guess the car won't start just looking at it? Lmao! You are just trying to get attention you attention whore! Cut it out! Like geez okay bro calm down.

When they get to the pier, Yuka suddenly has a bad feeling about fishing. Makoto's like you drunk bitch this was your idea though? Within 5 minutes, Saki and Haruka get into a cat fight before a huge wave knocked Saki into the ocean. Izumi dives in to save her since she's very good at swimming apparently, and after she gets Saki out, Okuhiko's face is the first person she sees when she wakes up, so she's convinced he saved her and falls in love with him. Girl are you stupid.

Saki imprinting on Okuhiko for some reason

Everyone goes to the hospital with Saki, and Saki says some cryptic shit about how humans don't die so easily or whatever. You decide to leave her be. That night, Okuhiko invites Makoto to see Saki with him because as a gentleman he can't ask Saki why she was arguing with Haruka, but clearly Makoto could because Makoto's an inconsiderate whore. Makoto takes offense at that but you can choose whether he goes or not. Going barely makes any difference though since Saki's a bitch and just yells at him to get out for being a nosey fuck.

On the way back to Izumi's restaurant, Izumi tells them how there's a tradition here where if you confess your love on one of the beaches your love will be eternal or something. The conversation derails, and she also tells a spooky story about how the nearby abandoned Shiki no Mori shrine which is on one of the capes by the sea is like super cursed and shit, and that it used to worship a demon god or some shit and there are cases of people disappearing who visit the shrine. Kurumi obviously says she wants to go since she loves spooky shit, but Izumi tells her to never say that ever again.

Back at the lodge, for god know's why Haruka comes to Makoto's room and asks him to teach her how to fish. Apparently she asked Saki at the pier but Saki refused. Haruka also starts going on about how she 'has no heart', and Makoto's like uhh what... but he agrees anyways.

April 3rd. Yuka tells everyone today is tennis day, but Haruka of course says she already made a promise with Makoto to go fishing. Okuhiko immediately start getting rly annoying about it like WHY HIM!?? WHY!!! And Haruka's like none of your business... Makoto and I trust each other. We made a promise... Promises must not be broken... I trust him... We trust each other.... GIRL I JUST MET YOU!! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. Anyways, Yuka lets you guys go, so Makoto and Haruka spend some hours reeling in fish at the pier.

While fishing, Haruka talks about how she knows she has no heart because she doesn't hate people since people with hearts hate and kill each other. Makoto's like what the fuck.  After fishing, Haruka randomly asks Makoto if he's ever kissed before. He's like what... and she then asks him to kiss her. Anyways, he kisses her on the forehead to appease her, and she's satisfied. This isn't in a romantic sense by the way Haruka's just weird. Makoto starts to develop fatherly feelings towards Haruka.

Haruka asking for kiss kiss from daddy (no)

When they get back to the lodge, Okuhiko's throwing a fucking hissy fit again about Makoto being a bad guy and manipulating Haruka into fishing with him or whatever, and Haruka defends Makoto by being like oh we trust each other he proved it by kissing me. Okuhiko just starts throwing fists and beats on Makoto calling him a bastard even though he literally like... isn't even dating Haruka or anything so he literally has no right to be acting like this? What the fuck is wrong with him. Makoto's like why the fuck are you so crazy, don't you already have Saki since she's all over you. And Okuhiko of course gets defensive since they're in front of Haruka, being all like omg Haruka don't get the wrong idea, I don't give a rat's ass about Saki! I only love you!

Cue Saki walking in... she's holding a basket full of crap to gift Okuhiko probably. She is so fucking enraged she starts destroying the basket in front of them and starts screeching like a banshee. She screams at Haruka all like 'YOU'RE JUST A FUCKING CLONE!!!" making everyone do a triple take. Makoto tries to supress Saki's enraged fit, but she yeets him across the yard. Kurumi also appears and she fucking yeets Kurumi also. After Kurumi gets slammed onto the stairs, Saki realizes she fucked up, but of course she's too much of a bitch to admit it. Saki absconds the premises in tears probably while Makoto is just left there processing the scene. He checks to see if Kurumi and Haruka are okay, and Haruka asks if he's surprised to hear she's a clone... His answer... is based on your choices!

Anyways, the squad goes on a tangent explaining how clones work in case the reader doesn't know what they are. How clones are referring to clone babies who are like embryos created from someone's DNA or something and born through a borrowed womb or artificial womb or something I don't remember. Basically clones are raised from the egg in the labs. Apparently there's controversy over clones, since making clones was illegal until a clone law was passed a few years ago that made it legal. There's still discrimination against clones though. For some reason. What the fuck is this game even about... what does any of this have to do with anything.

The team decide to pretend nothing is wrong and have dinner. Of course Makoto predicts what's for dinner with absolute accuracy, and everyone's like wtf... He tries to pretend he didn't just foresee it and lies, saying he saw Izumi's ingredients she brought earlier and guessed.

After dinner Kurumi randomly insists they do a test of courage, so the squad wanders through a graveyard in pairs, Makoto going with [girl with the highest affection with you]. Afterwards they hit a random ass hot springs in the middle of fuckall nowhere, though of course again Kurumi randomly backs out. Wonder if she doesn't want people to see her half naked or something... for some reason... mystery.

Test of courage with Yuka who is a huge chicken

April 4th, Yuka announces there's no plans. Makoto spends the whole day with [girl of your choice], before going to a group barbecue at the beach at 5pm. Even though Saki and Haruka clearly have drama, Saki shows up anyways and everyone's smiling... Makoto finds it strange, but Kurumi tells him they clearly still have shit but are just burying the hatchet for now. Things escalate when Yuka gets piss drunk as usual, and Saki accidentally spills beer on her. She tries to apologize but Okuhiko starts to laugh, so being a pick me, Saki laughs too. This pisses off Haruka, so Haruka splashes juice at Saki. All like 'now you know how it feels' or whatever. Saki is PISSED, and then her, Yuka, and Haruka all get in an argument. Saki tries to leave, but someone points out she put some of the uncooked meat in her bag and claiming that she's stealing it. Saki's super upset, but runs off with the meat anyhow. Well that went great, huh.

The girls are fighting

After all that Kurumi was really upset. Later that night, Kurumi goes missing. Makoto spends all night looking for her, and alongside Yuka, finally pick up on her trail leading to the shrine. Yuka goes on and on about how she has a bad feeling about the shrine, but Makoto goes anyways. They find Kurumi there acting kinda weird, claiming how the shrine feels nostalgic to her... either way everyone returns and decides not to tell Izumi where they found Kurumi since she'd get really upset about it probably.

Kurumi acting weird af at the shrine

Day 5 on is a girl's route so that's it for the common route.

Honestly I don't remember shit for most of the routes so I'll just summarize the important bits I guess.

YUKA ROUTE

Yuka being an alcoholic in public

So hanging out with Yuka the whole time, you see more sides of her and how she's a serious alcoholic. She gets piss drunk every single goddamn chance she gets, and she likes to act like a 12 year old and make weird noises and make up hissatsus when playing tennis. Also while chilling with her seeing the sakura blossoms on the 4th, she tells Makoto about the story of her first love.

Yuka talkin about her first love

Apparently when she was in middle school, she was in the school's art club which wasn't very popular. The clubroom had this cuckoo clock in it with two birds that came out separately, but only at 12 did they come out at the same time. She thought it was sad they were separated, so she drew a picture of the boy bird holding the clock hand at 12 with the girl bird giving him a hug. Note; Neither of the birds have genders Yuka herself just decided they were hetero birds because she is close minded. A boy then walked into the clubroom and saw her art, then calling it dogshit and telling her that she was close minded. He messed up her drawing and drew a new one of the birds flying away. He said some absolute pretentious bullshit like 'instead of drawing them still trapped, you should be open minded and draw them flying away! Birds can be free!! Stop keeping them in the cage!!' Personally I would have clocked him one since he sounds like the most pretentious little shite I've ever heard, but instead, Yuka fell in middle schooler love with him. She has never forgotten him.

She tells Makoto that he kind of reminds her of that boy. Makoto doesn't know what to do with this information.

That night when Kurumi goes missing, Yuka and Makoto go to the shrine together though Yuka was like omg this place has horrible vibes I feel if you go in you'll never come back. They hear a bell inside and freak, and find this lil paper that says some cryptic shit like oh at the end of the cape with the bell you'll be freed from time. Something like that. It was a lot more cryptic than what I just said but essentially that's what it said. Yuka's put in deep thought as Makoto recovers Kurumi from the shrine.

Yuka tryna stop Makoto from goin to the shrine cuz she got bad vibes from it

While outside after returning Kurumi to Izumi, they end up spotting a little girl who has the mysterious bell that Makoto supposedly yeeted into the ocean. Both Makoto and Yuka lose their minds and try to get the girl to fork the bell over, and of course this causes Makoto to be like omg why does Yuka know about the bell. They both fail to get the bell but Makoto stalks the little girl back to her hotel, though by then the little girl tells him she traded the bell to someone else for a keychain... and in her hand... is Yuka's keychain..!?

The next day they talk about the bell stuff and realize they both had the same goddamn dream and all that. Through discussion they conclude that this has something to do with the bell and that it has time crossing powers or some shit. Maybe they were in a time loop and that's why they had the same dream. They both promise to never return to the shrine so that that vision doesn't come to pass. However, on the night of the 5th, Yuka ends up going to the shrine anyways in the dead of the night. Makoto's at a loss why she'd do that... He finds her there and she tells him that there's something she desperately wants to go back to the past for. She climbs through a crack in the wall of the shrine to where the supposed end of the cape is as mentioned in the cryptic paper, but the cape apparently eroded away a long time ago, so it's just a cliff out there. An earthquake happens and she falls into the sea after Makoto hesitates to try helping her since he was also piss scared for his own life. He soon follows after her and they both crack their scalps on the crags. The last thing he sees is Yuka gripping that bell as it falls from her hand...

Yuka 5 seconds from falling to her death

He wakes up and it's April 1st again. Yuka does the WHAT THE FUCK!? thing again when slamming his door open. The two then jump and embrace each other like omg you're alive... They soon realize they've time traveled. Makoto doesn't really buy it, but Yuka's the brains of the party so she tells him to pretend they aren't time travelers and act like nothings wrong. The same common route shit happens all over again but this time him and Yuka try to figure out what to do about all this. He also is super concerned about the thing Yuka wanted to go back in time for, but can't bring himself to ask.

Just filling space but POV Yuka seeing ur ugly ass dong on accident

Also, during the new loop, they try to tweak events to prevent accidents, like not going fishing so that Saki doesn't fall into the sea, which makes her not fall for Okuhiko which makes everyone's lives better. During the test of courage, this time Saki's here too and she insists on pairing with Makoto. She then tells him about how he also reminds her of 'that boy' from middle school. She mentions how she also loved 'that boy'... Makoto's like I really don't wanna hear about that fucking boy anymore.

Later on, Yuka tells him the truth about how she wanted to go back in time to tell 'that boy' that she loved him back. Apparently he confessed to her but she never got the chance to tell him how she felt... She's regretted it her whole life and now her love is one-sided forever. Instead of being understanding or anything, Makoto throws a hissy fit about how he can't stand hearing about this stupid boy anymore. Without listening to Yuka, he just runs back to his room to be a mopey little pissbaby.

Yuka being sad about 'the boy'

After that, Saki ends up telling Makoto more about that boy, much to his chagrin, though she drops the bomb that he's DEAD. Makoto doesn't have competition after all! The boy is fucking dead. Apparently they were on a school trip when their like dorm building set on fucking fire. Yuka was in the bottom most dorm room closest to the fire, and was trapped and unable to escape. Before the firefighters could get there, the boy dashed into the building and rescued all the students since Yuka insisted he get everyone out first since she could tough it out or whatever. When he finally got to her, he carried her out and told her he was in love with her this entire time. He then collapsed and died of exhaustion on the spot. Yuka was shooked for the rest of her life.

After hearing this Makoto's like damn.. maybe I shouldn't have acted like such a whiny little pissbaby every time Yuka brought this guy up. I feel a tiny bit bad now. He doesn't get the chance to talk things out with Yuka before I think Kurumi went missing again? They get scared thinking she's at the shrine since it's gonna collapse soon from the earthquake, which is how they died in the previous loop. Anyways, he tells her that they can't keep time looping, and destroys the bell much to her shock. Either way they get to the shrine and climb to the back looking for whomstever the fuck, only to find it's just them so they climbed to this dangerous ass place for no reason. This time, Makoto doesn't hesitate to do a barrel roll mega dive and tackle Yuka to safety. They survive the collapse.

April 7th comes along safely, and the two decide to be lovey dovey in love. Yuka tells him she loved that boy but now she loves Makoto... it's not that he reminds her of him that much since they don't resemble each other all that much... she's fallen for Makoto and is ready to move on. Or whatever. They smooch.

This CG is srsly ugly I'm sorry

The end.

In the bad end, Makoto hesitates again and they die again, resulting in what's implied to be more loops sans the carried memories.

Anyways I didn't mention it much I think, but I find Yuka kinda charming since she's always making digs about Makoto and just fucking with him for no reason. I guess she might also have a tsun streak since she gains points when Makoto is rude to her rather than when he's nice.

HARUKA ROUTE

Haruka staring at water probably

Makoto spends all his time following Haruka around, and his fatherly feelings towards her turn into that of a man towards a woman... cringe. Honestly I don't remember shit. Basically you learn stuff like how Haruka loves water and loves standing out being wet since it reminds her of a time from the past where she was sitting in water. It's her only memory of her father...

You learn that Haruka was a clone baby made to replace somebody else, but her sister didn't want her and shoved her into a chair where she got a scar on her head. So sad.

Haruka's scar

On the night of the 5th, the two spend a super lovey dovey date on the beach, but it starts pouring rain on them. On the way back, Haruka spots a little puppy wet in the rain, and recognizes it as a puppy that Saki is fond of. She runs over to hold it in her arms, when Saki appears! The dog immediately jumps out of Haruka's arms to run towards Saki, but a car starts coming over. Before it can hit the dog, Haruka jumps out and grabs the dog, getting absolutely knocked out into oblivion by the car, smacking hard into the railing or whatever. As blood gushes out of her body, the dog just jumps out of her embrace and goes to wag its tail at Saki. Both Saki, Makoto, and the fucking driver are absolutely shooked. Makoto insists the driver help drive Haruka to the nearest clinic, and of course Saki's just like umm can we really trust this guy he's the one who hit her... Makoto tells her to shut the fuck up and that they have bigger priorities right now.

They get to the clinic, where the doctor tells them the only thing that can save Haruka is a blood transfer. But she's B- and neither Makoto nor Saki or the car driver have her blood type... Saki is super upset all like 'when we were finally coming to an understanding... and now this... T_T' so sad. Haruka wakes up briefly and tells Makoto that she's tired so she's going to go to sleep. 'I'll see you tomorrow...' /dies

Haruka being dead

Makoto is so distraught at her death he cries... and notices a bell fall out of Haruka's hand...

He then wakes up and it's April 1st again. He loses his marbles all like OMG HARUKA YOU'RE ALIVE!!! And she's like uhhh huh? No, I'm nothing... Okay geez back to square one I guess. Seems like she doesn't remember anything, unlike in Yuka's route.

Haruka engaging in her favorite activity

All the same shit happens and once again Makoto worms his way into Haruka's heart. Through some clue digging he learns that Haruka's original is Kurumi, since he learns from Izumi that when Kurumi was born, she was kidnapped for 3 years. During that 3 year span, her father who is a famous genetics scientist, cloned her and made a new baby that he brought home. That new baby was Haruka. At the time, Izumi was like 4 years old or something and struggled to bring herself to accept her, leading to the incident where she shoved her into a chair. Also, Kurumi was later found randomly in the shrine, but she hadn't aged a day... ??? So weird. Anyways, after bringing home the real Kurumi, the family literally just got rid of Haruka and handed her to a coworker to adopt. Izumi regretted how she treated Haruka ever since.

Now with this information, Makoto wants to mend the relationship between these sisters. Regardless, the shit that happens at ass o clock in the morning of the 6th still happens. He tried to prevent Haruka from going out, but she did anyways and again finds the dog. This time, Makoto dives in to save the dog instead, but he can't make it out of the way of the car, so Haruka pushes him out of the way and gets herself knocked into oblivion again.

Haruka around an hour before getting punted by a car

This time however, Makoto knows who has her blood type. He hands Haruka to Saki and the car's driver to take to the clinic, and goes on a mad dash to find Kurumi. He finds Okuhiko and tells him the situation to have him help look for Kurumi. Instead, Okuhiko gets super pissed off and blames Makoto for everything that happened, punching him in the face. Like there's a time and a place for everything... he's not even anything to Haruka why does he have to act like he's her boyfriend all the time. Pisses me the fuck off. Anyways Okuhiko eventually finds Kurumi so Makoto takes her to the clinic where he collapses from exhaustion.

The next morning, he wakes up to find that Haruka is alive. While hospitalized, Izumi also comes to visit her and tells her everything. The sisters then all make up and Kurumi learns all that shit too so they become like real sisters again. Makoto then goes off with Haruka to be lovers with her I guess.

Haruka getting along with her sisters

The End.

In the bad end, Makoto gives up on the search for Kurumi after failing to find her and decides to accompany Haruka in her last hours before returning to the loops.

SAKI ROUTE

Saki being a bad bitch in her ugly bikini

Even though Saki just acts like a huge bitch all of a time, Makoto falls hard for her, chasing her around everywhere. After she gets out of the hospital, Makoto's so worried about her he ditches the test of courage to see how she's doing. While she doesn't answer the doorbell, he circles around her house like a fucking creep and finds her playing with the little stray doggy in her yard. He's taken aback by her being not a bitch for once and finds her so kawaii and pretty or whatever the fuck. Not wanting to bother her, he returns to the lodge... He finds the fucked up basket and tries to repair it as a sign of goodwill or something, fantasizing about Saki falling head over heels for him after receiving the fixed basket. Since he's balls at it, Kurumi comes in and tells him that she can help fix it, which he begrudgingly decides to allow her.

Saki with doggo

The next day, Kurumi hands the basket to Makoto, evidently having thick bags under her eyes. Makoto feels bad about her pulling an all nighter for something as stupid as this, but decides to just thank her and go. He tries to return the basket to Saki and Saki acts like a huge tsundere about it. However, Kurumi had attached the cursed bell to the basket since she had found the bell on the beach the night before. Upon seeing the bell, Saki freaks out... what kind of history does she have with the bell?

Saki struggling to pretend she isn't happy to get her basket fixed

After some prodding, she tells Makoto about her history with the bell and Haruka. The reason why she fought with Haruka at the pier when fishing was because she saw Haruka had the bell and took it from her. Apparently when Saki was a child, she was besties with a little girl who lived nearby in a coal burning hut?? What the fuck is that supposed to mean. Anyways, her mother gifted her a little bell, so she decided to gift it to the girl as a sign of friendship. After learning this, Saki's mother was super pissed, and demanded they go back and get the bell back. Apparently the little girl was a clone, and Saki's parents hated clones, so they forced Saki to grab the bell back and threw bricks at the little girl, knocking her in the head. Saki was traumatized from being forced by her parents to commit discriminatory acts of violence, and of course this causes her to continue being racist towards clones. She was so shooked at seeing the bell and seeing the scar on Haruka's head, she immediately decided she must have been that little girl, and stole the bell to ... uh... to prevent that memory from happening again? Or something? What... girl none of this is helping.

Also, it's established that Saki has trust issues and can't bring herself to trust people. She can only trust animals. Also the reason why she waited 6 hours to ask about the pizza was because she ordered the pizza for the dog and didn't wanna leave him looking sad and hungry so she played with him for 6 hours. Okay.

Anyways, Makoto swears to Saki that he'll only trust her and in turn she can trust him. He tries to go talk with Haruka about the whole bell thing, but Haruka is really hostile about Saki. All like 'you don't know what she's really like... >:(' or whatever. Also it's established at some point that Haruka insists Saki stole the bell from her, but Saki now insists she doesn't have it anymore.

I'm just filling up space

Anyways on the night of the 5th more drama happens for some reason. So whenever getting all defensive with Yuka in particular, Saki's always saying oh go back to drawing your silly pictures or whatever. Yuka tells Makoto how she finds Saki fucking annoying because when they were in middle school, there was like a class project to make a mural. Both Yuka and Saki submitted designs, but Yuka's won so Saki ran off upset or whatever. Overnight, the mural was destroyed... and apparently the janitor had witnessed Saki running from the scene of the crime. So the entire class blamed Saki and demanded she apologize, to which Saki refused. Yuka's like oh Makoto you don't know how much of an annoying bitch she is, see she always act so defensive and causing shit like this.

Later that night at like midnight or some shit, Saki knocks on Makoto's window which wakes him up, but when he runs out, she's not there anymore. He catches sight of her shadow taking a taxi and leaving... so he goes back to bed. But the next morning, it turns out a burglar had broken in and stolen everyone's wallets. Saki shows up all like oh hey Makoto-kun! Good morning! But everyone immediately accuses Saki. Or more like Okuhiko accuses Saki because apparently he was also awake at the time. He demands Makoto back him up, since he saw Makoto go out to chase her. Makoto doesn't know what to say since he doesn't think Saki's a thief, but he did see her leaving so... what to do... While hesitating, Saki gets really upset and runs away.

Makoto chases her all the way to this like viewpoint park where there's a railing over a cliff above the ocean. In the rain she climbs over to the other side and starts talking about how everyone hates her and that she can't trust anyone. Everyone only sees her as a liar. She also reveals that she has the bell. She's like 'Makoto the truth is I could never bring myself to trust you, so I lied to you. I have the bell. Goodbye.' Makoto begs her to not jump, but she jumps off the cliff and dies.

Saki about to throw herself into the ocean

Makoto wakes up and it's the 1st again of course. Once again, Saki no longer knows who he is, so history repeats itself but this time Makoto's a lot more proactive in trying to seduce Saki. This time he's the one who saves her from getting knocked into the ocean so she becomes kinda sweet on him. Makoto psychoanalyzes her all like oh because Saki can't trust others she craves that relationship of trust... that's why she fell for someone so easily like when she fell for Okuhiko... she's lonely... Like okay psych major who never attends class, sure you're the professional.

Makoto getting easy points with Saki by rescuing her

This time Makoto forms a better relationship with Haruka and persuades Haruka to give Saki a chance. He forces them to talk it out, and they do resolve how they've misunderstood each other. Since the girl in Saki's past that she threw bricks at was clearly a different clone girl, since Haruka got her scar from getting pushed into a desk by Izumi. Now that that misunderstanding's out of the way, they can be friends now. :) REALLY?? You tell Haruka Saki used to throw bricks at a clone girl and she's just like 'okay let's be friends', REALLY!??!? Anyways they all establish Saki is kind deep down... she just turns to racism against clones when distraught. I guess.

Also, he pulls aside Yuka to tell her that Saki didn't destroy the painting in middle school. She just went to appreciate it and only went when no one was there because she's tsundere. And she ran away because she didn't want anyone to see her cry...since she's tsundere. Yuka's like yeah I kno it was probably the janitor that fucked it up and blamed Saki to get out of it... I just can't help but be a bitch to Saki since she's always so bitchy at me. Makoto's glad to have gotten that misunderstanding cleared up.

Anyways the theft thing still happens but this time Makoto gets up all like SAKI WOULD NEVER STEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However everyone's like that still doesnt explain why she was there... Saki again gets upset and runs away.

This time when at the railing, Makoto tells Saki that he came after her because he trusts her. I KNOW YOU DIDN'T DO IT! I'm here for you... I'll be the peach blossom or the cat or whatever that you can trust without exchanging words with because I love you so deeply. Or whatever. And she's like doki... okay I won't jump. She then explains that last night she found her doggy sick in the rain so she knocked on his window to tell him the doggy was in trouble. But he didn't answer so she decided to rush to the clinic herself by taxi. Conveniently on the way back the cops found a group of burglars that were buglaring and found all their stolen shit, so Saki's innocence is proven regardless. Everyone apologizes to Saki.

Saki after being persuaded not to jump

Makoto swears he'll be with Saki forever <3 He even adopts the dog for her.

Saki with fully recovered doggo

THE END.

In the bad end, obviously Makoto fails to make a convincing case and Saki jumps to her death again.

KURUMI ROUTE

Kurumi making crabs fight each other as any 17 yo would do

Throughout Kurumi's route, Makoto acts like an older brother to her and she literally calls him 'onii-chan' the whole time. However near the last days together he's like y'know I think I'm starting to think of her more as a woman than a sister... Kurumi... my love... WHAT THE FUCK SHE'S LITERALLY 12 ADJACENT.

While doing random craps with Kurumi like helping her spook people or fucking.. catching crabs and playing with them on the beach like what grade schoolers do, Kurumi tells Makoto about her dark secret. The reason why she doesn't go swimming with everyone is because she has a huge scar on her back. Her parents and Izumi told her that she got it from falling down the stairs as a baby, but Kurumi herself doesn't believe it and thinks they're lying to her. Apparently she used to have a crush on a boy in middle school, but after learning she had a scar, he started avoiding her and told all his friends that he felt he wasted his time on her since having that ugly scar makes her undesirable or whatever. Hearing this pisses Makoto the fuck off, but either way Kurumi has refused to show her scar to people ever since.

Kurumi emo because she has a scar

She does however show the scar to Makoto because she trusts him... but he has no idea what to say. One day he talks with Izumi about Kurumi, and Izumi tells him how she thinks that Kurumi might not be her real sister. She reveals she made up all that shit about Shiki no Mori being a demon god shrine because she just didn't want Kurumi to ever go there. As mentioned in the Haruka route, after being found at that shrine after her kidnapping, Kurumi hadn't aged a day... so Izumi believes that maybe her father made a new clone baby. She'd hate for Kurumi to remember anything unecessary by returning there... But ya she also says that it doesn't matter if Kurumi is a clone or not, she still loves her all the same as her real sister even if not by blood. Kurumi walks in having heard (although choosing not to process the 'but I still love her all the same' part), and immediately throws a fit about how they're all lying to her and don't love her. All like omg if onee-chan isn't my real sister that means you HATE me!!! Like girl are you stupid.

Anyways Kurumi runs off to the fucking shrine and Makoto chases her there, but before he can get to her, an earthquake causes the shrine to collapse, killing her instantly. She dies and when he pulls her corpse out of the rubble, the bell rolls out of her palm...

Back to April 1st, in the new time loop Makoto does all the same shit to re-establish a lovey relationship with Kurumi since she doesn't remember him anymore, except it comes across as way creepier since he's passionately in love with her from day one while she's literally calling him onii-chan and acting like a fucking toddler. This time when Kurumi shows him her scar, he embraces her and tells her that Kurumi's still Kurumi to him and none of that matters or whatever idk. Anyways, he tries to prevent Izumi from telling him about the clone kidnapping shit, but she does anyways and once again Kurumi walks in and throws a fit.

I'm just filling space

This time Makoto catches her on the beach and tells her the whole time travel shit, and how her scar proves she is Izumi's real blood sister. Because the kidnappers corpse was found in the collapsed shrine that collapsed the year she disappeared, and 3 years later when the shrine was rebuilt, she was found in it with fresh wounds. That means she time traveled from the collapsed, so her wounds prove she was there and that time travels real. Kurumi thinks its a bunch of hogwash and keeps running, all like wtf why would Onii-chan lie to me like this...

Makoto catches her at the shrine again and convinces her to believe him by pulling out an origami and recreating her super special origami that she only showed him in the previous loop. Convinced, she finally goes back with him, and they kiss and shit and its gross.

Makoto convincing Kurumi time travel is real and plausible

If I was Izumi I would have called the police a long time ago... I don't think it comes across well in this summary maybe but actually reading it like, the way Makoto acts towards Kurumi just feels extremely... off putting. It's wrong. Predatory. If she actually acted her age maybe it would be somewhat excusable but she literally acts like a toddler.

Anyways everyone's happy except for me.

Kurumi happy to be able to call her nii-chan boyfriend senpai next year at college

THE END

Bad end has Kurumi dying in the collapse again.

IZUMI CURE ROUTE

Izumi being the resident MILF adjacent character

For some reason Izumi has 2 routes. The first one is the 'Cure' route. Izumi's route is locked until you complete everyone else's. Wonder why...

So in Izumi's route, Makoto becomes infatuated with her goddess-like beauty, and runs around doing whatever he can for her. While running errands for her, he goes back to the lodge to find some onions and finds Okuhiko reading a report on 'Cure syndrome', though he tries to hide it as soon as he spots Makoto... Makoto is surprised to find that Okuhiko is such a studious student.

Izumi being wet

During the week, Makoto becomes progressively more concerned about his premonitions, especially after playing a game of concentration with Izumi and Kurumi, where he manages to get every single card in one turns. Izumi seems like she really wants to seriously talk with Makoto about what it means, but Kurumi waves it off as a one in a million chance. Makoto also has a premonition of seeing Izumi collapsed in the mud, and becomes afraid for her life... but he remembers Izumi's words of how the light of the stars is like shining on them and something something I don't remember but basically nothing is set in stone until it happens. He tries to banish his thoughts of premonitions and refuses to believe in them anymore. He only wants to talk to Izumi about the stars she loves or whatever.

Also on one night, Izumi asks Makoto to see him at like 3am by viewpoint park, where she confesses that she loves him. She tells him not to answer though... and Makoto doesn't know how to feel either even though he's clearly in love with her... First of all, WHAT the fuck does she see in Makoto. An idiot helps you out 2 times and now you're down bad for him? What did he even do that's so compelling. Nothing.

Izumi confessing to Makoto for some godforsaken reason

Later on the 5th, Okuhiko reveals that this entire seminar camp was actually a social experiment, and that Makoto was the subject. It turns out Izumi is actually a professor at their college, and that she's the advisor for the Kawashima Party that they're a part of. The experiment was to fake 'premonitions' in order to convince Makoto that he can see the future... so that when he said the store had no rice, Izumi would pretend there really was no rice etc etc. Makoto is furious, as he immediately assumes that all that means that Izumi telling him she loved him must have also been a lie. Like are you stupid... people don't just lie about these things. Either way, he says a lot of nasty things, and Izumi slaps him in the face before running out the door.

He chases after her and chases her through the forest, but she slips off a cliff on accident. He grabs her wrist in an attempt to save her, but she insists that he let her go before he falls too. She tries to pull her wrist away but accidentally pulls him down with her lmao, so they both hit the ground. The last thing he sees is Izumi's collapsed form in the mud... She tells him in her dying breath... something. Honestly I forgot what she said but imagine it was something interesting.

Izumi about to fall to her death

Makoto wakes up on the 1st and immediately starts beating on Okuhiko all like what the fuck were you deceiving me for you bitch!! What's going on!! He doesn't believe it when Okuhiko tells him it's the 1st, and when everyone else also says it's the 1st, he just thinks they're all lying to him. He dashes out the door to find Izumi, and runs into her halfway since she was also dashing towards the lodge to look for him. They collide in a passionate hug, and go over what they've noticed. Izumi believes they've time traveled, since she trusts Kurumi and if Kurumi says it's the 1st, then it must be. Makoto begrudgingly is forced to accept that maybe time travel is real.

Izumi lets the cat out of the bag about the project and cancels it early on, so it's established that everyone knew that Izumi was their professor except Makoto, since Makoto doesn't go to school. Apparently he was specifically picked for the experiment because of this... lol.

Filling space again

Later on, Izumi explains to Makoto what the experiment was about. Apparently it was to disprove the existence of the '3rd trait' in the disease known as 'Cure Syndrome.' Apparently Cure Syndrome is like a form of.. psychosis that infects people or something. The situation is that a person who lies is made to believe their lie is the truth by their peers. The first trait of the syndrome is that somebody lies to the individual and the individual is made to believe the lie is completely true. The 2nd trait I think was that they spread this lie? Like multiple people are made to believe it? Or something. Anyways most importantly, the 3rd trait is that their belief in the lie warps reality to match that of their projected reality. The kid in their example study believed he was immortal and could spread his immortality to people, and he literally cured cancer by touching some people... so his lie had become truth.

Izumi wanted to prove this was fake by creating a situation where the team convinces the subject, Makoto, that he can foresee the future. So she wanted to induce Cure Syndrome in him and see if that caused anything to happen or something. But she reveals that she never actually started the experiment, because all of his predictions actually came true... Everything he said really happened. The car really wouldn't start, and she really was out of rice. Izumi's theory is that in the original loop, they activated the experiment, but rather than convincing Makoto that he could see the future, they accidentally convinced him that he was a time traveler. He believed it so hard it became true and now they're in a time loop. Izumi also claims that she might have also been infected and that she too carries memories of the previous loop because she also has Cure Syndrome. Since in her case she believed so desperately that Cure Syndrome was real, and now it has become real because of her delusion. Or something. I don't know it's really convoluted. Izumi also claims that they haven't actually time traveled, and that they're currently probably in Makoto's delusion at the point of his death in the previous loop, where his Cure Syndrome is rewriting the past, since he probably wished deeply for an alternate history that led to something different. So they're currently actually just living a new history within that split second, and if it completes I guess it will overwrite the previous history. Or something.

Izumi floating in the water while Makoto describes her as a goddess for the nth time

Makoto doesn't really get it. But basically if Cure Syndrome's really then his delusions will become reality. So he didn't actually memorize the 48 cards in concentration, but he created the reality of the cards matching as he flipped them. Or something. Like... okay that makes sense. NOT!!!!

As time passes he lovey doveys more with Izumi, but he also talks with Izumi about whether she should tell Kurumi and Haruka the truth about the whole clone and kidnapping time travel shit. Having her tell them leads to ending A and having her keep it from them leads to ending B. Anyways during this timeline, instead of finding a bell and gifting it to Izumi, Kurumi finds a sand star to give to her. Haruka also finds a sand star to give to her, and Izumi then finds her own sand star for a total of three that she keeps in a little botte. Makoto also confesses his undying love to Izumi and Izumi's like omg no I can't... I've wronged you... but he's like I don't care.

Lovey dovey

Anyways, while vibing, Makoto finds himself thinking some times like oh if only the cursed shrine wasn't there... Or oh if only Kurumi didn't have her scar... and one day he follows Okuhiko and Saki into the woods near the shrine, but when he gets to the shrine he finds there is no shrine!!!!!! WHAT!!! And later one he accidentally walks in on Kurumi changing, but SHE HAS NO SCAR!!! Kurumi later calls him Makoto-kun and is like of course I call you that because we're the same age! I'm 20 years old!!! WHAT!!!

Makoto becomes convinced he accidentally delusioned a reality where the kidnapping never happened, and becomes afraid that Haruka must have been erased from this timeline... Izumi is kind of feverish from the rain, but she helps him search for Haruka anyways. When they finally find Haruka, Izumi collapses in the street... Obviously right then a car comes pummeling towards them. Of course.

ENDING B

Haruka jumps in the way of the car, but her form is like starting to fade away and the car drives right through her as if she was just an illusion. It then runs over Makoto and Izumi, though Makoto used the last of his strength to at least protect Izumi.

Izumi's like OMG WHY!! And Makoto dies... and wakes up to find himself back at the bottom of that cliff from the previous loop! Izumi's again with him all like omg Makoto wake up!! Don't die!! And he's like... sand star.... and she's like what the fuck are you talking about. He then pulls that bottle of sand stars from his pocket.... and it crosses his mind... Izumi's words about how the reality he was living was a delusion he was creating that was retroactively determining the past...

Last thing Makoto sees upon waking up in the previous timeline

THE END

What the fuck does any of that mean.

ENDING A

Makoto jumps up to stop the car, and he gets hit by hit, forcing it to stop before hitting Haruka or Izumi. Numb from the pain, he gets up and crawls to Izumi where he's relieved to see they're okay. He then collapses on the spot. Izumi's like OMG MAKOTO NO!! Or whatever.

Rather than waking up back on the first timeline, this time time continues as Makoto is hospitalized from the incident. It also turns out that none of that reality rewriting bullshit happened. Apparently there were two shrines to begin with, one which collapsed a long time ago, and he went to the wrong one and got confused. Also, it wasn't that Kurumi had no scar, but that she had lent her clothes to Haruka to put on after Saki spilled beer on her. So Makoto had actually seen Haruka in Kurumi's clothing. Also, Kurumi claimed to be 20 because in this timeline, Izumi told her and Haruka the truth on the 5th, so she knew she was supposed to be 20.

This CG looks so lopsided

Everything is resolved. Makoto and Izumi get to be lovey dovey and they all go on a boat to party.

Why are they on a boat tho

THE END

IZUMI ROUTE 2

So this one is exactly the same as the previous one, except Makoto never learns about Cure Syndrome and doesn't find the report on it. The bizarre game of concentration doesn't happen either. Instead, on the 6th, Okuhiko finally reveals that they were all deceiving him or whatever and everyone laughs, though Makoto just like before is pissed and starts yelling nasty things at Izumi. Izumi runs off crying and the same thing happens where she falls off a cliff, though this time Makoto doesn't manage to grab her wrist in time at all and she just straight up splats the floor and he finds her like that.

Izumi being dead(?)

Makoto realizes at that moment that he was in love with her and that he was overwhelmed by her kindness or whatever and couldn't reciprocate because of it or some shit... like okay.

So he wakes up and again his watch says it's the 1st... so he's like OMG I TIME TRAVELED! But then IZUMI fucking walks into the room and he's like omg... wait... A GHOST.... AAAGHHHGHSDG... She then shuts his mouth and tells him that it's actually the 7th, not the 1st. She had only fainted after slipping off the cliff, and after Okuhiko and friends found them, Okuhiko had the dick idea of tricking Makoto again, wanting to trick him into thinking he'd time traveled.

Also, according to Izumi, she was only working to deceive Makoto before because Okuhiko had threatened her, saying that he would reveal Kurumi's secret if she didn't cooperate... Izumi then decides they should prank Okuhiko back, and get everyone and pretend it's the 1st again to make HIM think he time traveled. Lol!  Makoto gathers the crew before Okuhiko wakes up, and they all agree to fuck with him. School is supposed to start, but they all agree to just fucking ditch school... except Kurumi who's in high school, so she's forced to not be apart of the plan since you can't ditch high school like you can college.

So they spend the week fucking with Okuhiko, but Makoto quickly gets tired of it because he realizes that if they're busy fucking with him, he can't confess his undying love to Izumi and go on dates with her... He spends the whole fake time loop events trying to find time to be with Izumi but every single point gets disrupted by somebody. Also the he keeps managing to get into moments with Haruka Yuka and Saki where they try to tempt him into a kiss!? He can either give in, or remain faithful...

The last day, they reveal the truth and everybody laughs at Okuhiko.

In the good faithful ending, Makoto takes Izumi with him to the beach and confesses his undying love to her. They hook up and life goes on... he even gets to see her at university since she's his professor lol. Then it cuts to next year where they go on another seminar camp together...

Izumi accepting Makoto's confession dramatically in the rain

Bad ending where Makoto is only a little unfaithful, he's so overcome with guilt that on the last day, he packs his bags and runs away, never to show himself to Izumi again.

In the ending where he's unfaithful at every possible chance, he takes Izumi to the beach and confesses he betrayed her. Then all the girls jump out with a SURPRISE!! YOU'VE BEEN PUNKED!! While they were punking Okuhiko, they were also tempting Makoto on purpose to punk him. Makoto sees Izumi laughing at him, but behind her smile he can see signs of true sadness.... THE END.

And that's the whole game!

There's also an extra story that plays Yuka's route from her POV but honestly who the fuck cares.

FINAL THOUGHTS

The start was okay, the middle trudging through the ass routes was physically painful, and the end was ok but felt a lot like doing chores to be honest. At no point was the story compelling enough to make me want to come back to it, but I did it anyways for some reason.

Feel like I wasted hours of my life, but at least I can tell people I read Never7. I didn't gain anything from this did I. I'm hoping this experience can give me at least a smidge of insight when I read Ever17 whenever that happens.

It's not that I hated this VN or anything, but it was definitely just subpar and mediocre. Nothing particularly special about it.

Anyways if you read all that, thanks for reading! I'm not a hater I swear... or am I? Either way, here's hoping my experience with Ever17 is better!
