Damn if there was any otoge that truly satisfied me it'd be Amnesia! Of all games. For some reason. Anyways I enjoyed the anime so take this review as you will. The US release was announced around then so I just waited around until jumping in back last August when it was released. Anyways I went in for Ikki...what I came out as... you'd be surprised! Read more to find out ;^)

Plot

Okay so this game is about --surprise-- amnesia!! You're some nameless chick, whom I'll just call Pochi for now, and one day you wake up in some dream zone to realize that you don't remember jack squat about anything! Luckily some buggy shota boy is here to help you out!

Anyways he's just like "sup girl hey I'm a spirit and I slammed into you and knocked ur brains out ahha shit my bad... anyways I'll hang wit u  till u got ur life all together again so yoroshiku till then :))" Before you leave the dream zone you get to pick what 'world' you wanna go to!! AKA who you want to be yo man. Since this game features parallel universes. Where each one you lived a different life.. and snagged a diff boytoy obviously.

I got into this game cuz he's hot so I'll go over him first. Anyways Ikki's one hot spicy tamale and I'd slap that ass any day. Only problem is you soon learn that he's not spicy and all, and is actually a grown man-child who craves a real baby's first romance. Poor boy has been deprived of True Love™ his whole life thanks to plot hax, but thankfully you're here to solve that!

So in this universe, you find out that you have a bf named Ikkyu or someshit and he's ready to take you out for a wild ride ;) Anyways you go out and find some handsome piece of ass being swarmed by girls and ofc Orion's like wtf man there's no way he's ur bf i'm sure your taste aint that shit well jokes on you he is your boyfriend. You have shit taste. I have shit taste. Anyways you go on dates with this playboy and he's just such a gentleman~ So sweet, so kind, such eyecandy. Anyways his entire route is basically you're dating this beautiful man, but he seems to be keeping it a secret from his fanclub! You always have to wait for him at some shady street corner after work to avoid his legion of fangurlz. You also get weird texts all like 'where's ur report' and it's like??? wtf?? spam?? so ofc you just delete and forget about it ~~~ 

Long story short the Ikki fanclub is full of real batshit hellions and if you monopolize the mancandy too much they'll literally fucking kill you. You also keep hearing about some kinda 'time limit', both from the binch squad and the blue boi himself! Seems you have until the end of the month until something happens! There's rumors that Ikki only dates a girl for a month before breaking up, so is that it? Or perhaps... it's something else? Either way Ikki seems to dread this deadline...what could this mean.

What it means is that Ikki loves you. Ikki wished on a shooting star when he was a shota to be irressistable to girls, which ofc sounds like a swell idea when you're 10 but it's absolutely shit in practice. Ever since, when he locks eyes with a chick they'll immediately crave the dick even if they don't know a thing about him. Ikki is a romantic, so he wants a relationship straight out of the shoujo mangas! Sadly, when every girl you stare at just wants the D, that just aint possible. Luckily, YOU the heroine use plot hax and resist his charm through pure force of will! Since you don't want him immediately, he becomes fascinated with you... a girl who actually... doesn't wanna suck his D 5 seconds after meeting him... is this love .... . ..  

Anyways it's clear Ikki loves you for what you are, not who you are! It could be anyone, but you're the first to resist his cursed eyes! Good job! He doesn't want to lose you, and desperately tries to make you fall in love with him so that he can keep up this charade forever! And luckily for him, it's working! Even as a braindead amnesiac, you, aka me, fall head over heels for his flat ass. Okay more like I grew pretty fond of him, the heroine has no lines so who even knows. 

Anyways anyways you eventually learn that your parents are making you move end of the month so you'll have to go back home far away aka break up with Ikki!! Ikki wants you to move in with him if you become a real item! Also, the Ikki fanclub have a rule where well behaved members are allowed to date Ikki for a month as long as they send in a daily report! Apparently you're in the club!! You joined on a whim thinking Ikki was an asshole but have grown fond of him <3 prbly since he is so cute and silly. Anyways thx to your forgetting the binch squad has been putting dog shit and garbage in your mail everyday rip you.

Bad ends

If he finds out you're an amnesiac he feels betrayed. Why did you keep this from him?? You don't trust him?? Is he that... unlovable... Ikki is a bery sensitive baby boy so he takes it very harshly. He dumps you after being a bit of a dick to you and then runs off to the beach with his boyfriend bestfriend Kent to cool down and get over himself.

You can also get yourself attempted murdered by his stalker binch squad if you fuck up enough and Ikki is so pissed he decides to kill them. Good job.

Normal end

You move away forever and break up with Ikki. You guys clearly love eachother but well too bad.

You guys love eachother so!! Move in with him!! Just fucking marry him just do it. Ikki calls the cops on his crazy fanclub and makes them disband after you finally tell him that they're harassing you so much, and then you live happily ever after good job!!!

Shin's ur osananajimi and he loves you! Like he legit is in love with you. You, Shin, and Toma were a lil 2 boys 1 girl staple anime trio as children, and they vied for your love!! Luckily for Shin, in this universe apparently his persistance finally resulted in you giving him a chance (even though apparently you just thought of him as a baby bro). Sadly, it also seems like you fell off a cliff last week and smashed your skull! At least when Shin immediately realizes you have amnesia, you can use that incident as an excuse for why.

His entire route is Shin's kinda cold to you and you learn it's cuz he worked so hard to make you see him as a REAL MAN, but it's all gone to shit since you're an amnesiac now. Also there's a police investigation on WHO PUSHED YOU OFF THE CLIFF, and you have the great choice of suspecting Shin! Or you can trust him which is the obvious right thing to do, but whatever you do you yeah.

So the crime happened when you went to a mountain lodge with your coworkers at the maid/butler cafe. In this universe that's your osananajimi trio, ur bff Sawa, and the pink chick. Anyways at the lodge Ikki and Kent were coincidentally there also on their honeymoon prbly with fanclub head Rika 3rd wheeling or something. Ikki and Kent were the ones who found your body!! Shin has no alibi!! Who did it!?

You go do ur own investigating and well you don't really learn anything but you do learn that Kent and Ikki are super close super buddies which makes me happy!!

There's one end where you go out alone with shady hobo Ukyo who constantly tells you not to trust or associate with him and he shanks you to death rip in pieces dumbass.

You confront the culprit!! It's Toma!! Toma is kinda crazy so when he found you and you mistake him for Shin through your delirious eyes, he got so jealous he smashed your skull into the ground!! ! ! !! ! ! That's love for you! :) Toma goes to fucking JAIL where he belongs, and you are happy with your younger boyfrand Shin good job.

Toma's ur other osananajimi and he's totally reliable!! Especially after he almost fucking killed you out of jealousy in Shin's route haha that's great ilu man ilu. In this universe you wake up and find yourself getting along with ur oniichan Toma~ He's not rly ur nii-chan but he's always been like a big bro to you and he prides himself on that and babies you! Of course things get a lil suspect when he learns you have amnesia and immediately declares that he's not really your big bro, but your fucking BOYFRAND, Ummm I'm inclined to doubt but you and Orion decide to believe his LIES.

You have a jolly good time with your uh 'boyfrand' until you learn that it seems you are the victim of... 'bullying'?? In fact it's the same shit you went through in Ikki's route! Toma tries to hide it from you by convincing you to stay at his place and like never going outside again or anything but he can't keep you from doing what you want forever! Right? Right..? He's just doing this to protect you! You're so close to Ikki and this is what happens oh you silly girl. Better stay under Toma's close watch and protection until things blow over! Even if he has to drug you to keep you still you pesky lil kitten you!

At some point even Shin comes knocking all like dude do you know where MC is oh wait shit is that her in ur room why haven't you told me she's staying over why is she even staying over dude why are you shutting the door on me?? dude!! dudE! Anyways Toma persuades him to leave eventually. Orion tips you off that ur getting drugged so you stop drinking the shit he gives you and you escape!! Right??

You keep trying to get away and y'know what? That just helps Toma come to terms with the fact that he doesn't really want to 'protect' you, but keep you for himself! He'll make sure you never leave again! He loves you!

..Wait I think that one earlier was normal? Idk. Anyways my fave end is when he tries to strip you and you dash outside after escaping his grip, straight into Shin! He was worried and came to check up on you! Shin is furious and calls the cops on Toma. You never see Toma again. :)

You find ur diary and reveal to Toma that you loved him all along!!! The boy you liked all these years...was HIM. Since it's revealed that part of the reason why Toma had you locked up was because he thought you were dating Ikki and didn't want him stealing you, this new knowledge makes him really feel like shit. Wow you ALREADY liked me and I did all this?? No way you like me now!! Right? Nope. You clearly have shit taste. You love him!! Even if he drugged and locked you up and also snooped through your phone and computer and emails and well it was all because he loves you so it's fine right. ...Sure.

I didn't expect anything going into Kent's route since he seemed kinda boring, but he really proved me wrong! First off, Kent is a nerd. Second off, he's your nerd ;) *wink wonk* The route starts off with Kent making you meet with him at the cafe where you work. Apparently he thinks you're gonna break up with him since he's a pain in the ass. Well too bad, you have amnesia now so you don't remember what you were mad about! You forgive him without knowing what he did, and he's just shocked! "Wow.. you're forgiving me? You're not gonna...yell at me?.... omg...." He's so used to being yelled at by the original you that now that you calmly listen to what he has to say, he's just flabbergasted! What kind of short tempered person were you even before.... Whatever the case you'll never really find out since the heroine never really becomes that person ever for whatever reason lol.

His entire route he's very particular, doesn't understand what makes girls happy, doesn't find the appeal in going to festivals or whatever and thinks a date consists of walking a long distance with the girlfriend and generally he's a boring ass boyfriend. But...he's so fucking earnest!! He does all these things 'cause hes a dumbass and doesn't know any better! As the heroine points out what does make her happy, he tries his best to accomodate and be a good boyfriend it's just so fucking sweet!!

Just constant fluff after fluff this whole route is fluff he later even admits he doesn't know why he's dating you but it seems something in his kokoro compelled him to ask you out so I guess he just doesn't comprehend love feelings very well! What a loser! A sweet dumbass cute loser!!!

Ofc Kent and Ikki are still bffs forever. Meanwhile I don't think Shin or Toma are still osananajimis with you they're just kinda not in the picture. Anyways Ikki does his best to make sure your relationship with Kent goes smoothly, bless his heart. He really does care for Kent's well-being the most, as his best friend 5ever. Anyways Kents a nerd and you even meet his parents and you have a good time every day and it's great. 

In the end you learn that you fought with Kent before cuz ur dog died and he's like ?? just get a new one and ofc ur fuckin LIVID. Well now that you've taught Kent some common sense he's realized that he really was an insensitive dickwad during this time so it's all chill now.

You also kinda get hit by a car at one point so Kent has to decide whether to ditch his graduate thesis presentation to run to your side, or to just hope ur fine and continue with his shit.

Secret route time. This homeless weirdo is in like every route and his split personality keeps shanking you! What gives? What gives is that....he loves you!!! Haha what a surprise didn't see that coming at all did you. Anyways Ukyo is some weird guy who you don't know, and he loves you!! You're very curious about this strange man who comes to your workplace and is generally very mysterious and kind, so you go following him and learning about his mysterious homeless life! He keeps saying 'please don't associate with me I'm dangerous' but who cares you need to get more glimpses of that handsome face yeah.

Anyways in every route he has his cute side, and then his murderous side that keeps shanking you. It's also apparent that he knows a lot about you, but you sure don't know jack about him. Anyways long story short he's actually from the PRIME universe and is a photographer who ran into you and you guys fell in love or whatever, but you died in a freak accident when your school fucking exploded so he make a deal with some fairy king to go jumping parallel universes until he could get to one where you could live! Sadly, in every universe where you live, he dies! That's what he stops showing up in every route after a while, cuz he fucking died. His evil split personality was born because that's the part of him that's sick of this and wants to escape this death hell by killing you! This is just like Rika/Bernkastel all over again lol (umineko references pls read umineko). Oh yeah apparently the universe is so set on killing at least on of you that it'll do so even if it means flower pots falling from every sill you pass and cars randomly crashing into you or whatever until you finally die.

This is a replica of the prime universe so Ukyo tries his best to keep you safe! Although sometimes he like tries to strangle u n shit but no problem he'll work hard on not doing that again. This and that happen and basically you use the power of love to avoid getting shanked by his evil personality and overcoming everything and breaking the curse or whatever.

ok this isn't even the main bad end where u prbly just get shanked by dickkyo and die, but another one you tell Toma that Ikki's fangirls are being mean to you so he kills the girl in question and takes custody of you by force. I'm not even on his route. What the fuck.

Anyways you go through a lot of trouble to survive and once it hits the next month and you both still breathing technically ukyo's 'wish' to the fairy king came true and fairy king who gains power thru granting wishes suddenly goes from like lvl 1 scrub to lvl 100 paladin and y'all go to the dreamscape and have a lil chat. Seems he can fix everything and let you have ur happy ever after with Ukyo but... do you really forgive Ukyo and Badkyo for all the shit they did to you? 

No!! You tell him fuck  u and he's gone forever.

CONCLUSION

This game was pretty cute! I liked all the guys and even if the heroine had the personality of a wet towel, the guys were cute so who cares! For who I liked: Ikki>Kent>>Toma>Ukyo>Shin. For which routes I liked Kent's route was my fave since it was so cheesy and cute! I'd recommend Amnesia to anyone, it was just an overall solid otome game, and the guys are all very well developed and fun to date! I hope the sequels come to the west someday, since I'm too lazy to bother playing them in Japanese. 

Also another conclusion is that the strongest emotion I felt coming out of this game, was how much I though....that Kent and Ikki belonged...together..... Their bond is so strong. So beautiful. I love them both and they love each other and they deserve the best in the world. Anyways I enjoyed this game

TL;DR: good game, would recommend. 10/10 Kent and Ikki r ttly gay 4 eachother in the routes where you don't snag one of them
